To-day was eventful and yet uneventful. And I've learned that one cannot walk in a leg brace. It took me half an hour to get to the barn and back.

So I played piano a lot today. >_>

And I reproduce this conversation for a progress report on the Chess Fic of Doom:

AmiboshiRein: And I shall hate chess with a passion by the time I finish this fic.
MamselleManon: Ick. *comforts*
AmiboshiRein: I've drawn, like, fifty diagrams by now of chess boards.
MamselleManon: eep
AmiboshiRein: And I don't want to end with Javert's suicide. I have an aversion to that.
AmiboshiRein: Okay, fine. I can't write Javert. That's why the fic is killing me.
MamselleManon: meep. I don't blame you.
MamselleManon: *laughs* You too?
AmiboshiRein: I caaaaan't!
AmiboshiRein: Like, there are really really really special people in this world. I think there are three. They can write Javert.
MamselleManon: *grins* It's true.
MamselleManon: He's difficult.
AmiboshiRein: He's impossible. *sulks and throws a chess piece at him*
MamselleManon: *pokes him*
AmiboshiRein: *runs away and hides when the chess piece hits figment!Javert in the head and bounces off*

It's going very slowly. Very slowly. So annoying. Why did I offer to take that commission, I ask, why?

Lastly, 'I, Claudius' is becoming an increasingly sordid tale. I still can't bear Caligula. And I adore Claudius. He's the sweetest thing.

lol!!! it's totally true about javert. and you could do like lewis carroll and don't sweat whether or not your chess game is actually possible. i'm looking forward to reading it no matter what you say though lol :)
