"The Wind Blew Cold and Lonely Across that Widow's Moor..."
Also, picspam! For the photograph meme and in general.
For
memise, photographs of my room:
When you walk in the door, you see my chest and my treadmill, and the big puzzle-piece picture on the wall. Also, stacks of books. The towel and the shirt and the things lying about? Are Mum's, not mine; she uses the treadmill, too. There's the painted china lamp; and the dresses that I do have to admit to. I like hanging my dresses up anywhere.
Then one turns and there's the tiger scarf at the end of the bed.
A few steps on and you'll see my chest of drawers, covered with things. There's a wedding picture of Mum; the painted porcelain screen
missingclone gave me; my incense burner; a stray silk glove; the bronze cat, the wooden frog, and the lacquered red dragon; the mirror above and my box-and-bag stash to the right.
About face to see the scarf rack and lamp. Notable things here include the picture Waen painted for my birthday last year; two kimonos (one real and silk, the other just cotton); my Chinese lanterns; the two kinds I got in Iceland as well as the wool scarf I purchased there; the paper parasols
mhari gave me for Christmas last year; my Courfeyrac cap; and hundreds of scarves collected from all the places I've been. You can also note the lacquered Russian box Mum gave me. (The scarf
mhari gave me for Christmas this year isn't here because I'm wearing it so regularly that I keep it in my winter room.)
Finally, turn to your left and observe the bed, curtained on two sides and blocked with the wall on a third (making me feel infinitely safer when I sleep). You can see the beautiful nightgown Mum made me for Christmas, as well as Paul, my Tiger, the Totoro
sorcha_feanor gave me, my stuffed pumpkin (<3), multiple stuffed animals, and the Big Box of WeightWatchers Paraphernalia. Mum made the quilt, and the gloves at the end of the bed are the ones Jenny knitted me in Iceland.
Now, for
maranz, a picture of the computer,--
Claudius! Observe Notre-Dame de Paris to the side, in a pile also containing Scarlet Pimpernel CD (from
talissarocsham, Gulliver's Travels, my diary, Roget's Thesaurus, and my Latin-English dictionary. The clutter behind the computer? Is all Waen's.
And! For
snowyofthenight!
The Cover of Edwin Drood. Can you find Neville?
Lastly, some random picspam.
My Easter Bunny, in lieu of a chocolate rabbit. For the record, he's eating the cashew. Malcolm, you see, is addicted to them.
My arm. Isn't my watch pretty? Not that you can actually see it. *lovesit*
Soujin Upside-down Cake. I wanted to see if I could. So I took a photograph upside-down. Shh, it's supposed to be gratuitous.
Shiny. :P A photograph taken in the mirror. The three things on the wall in the background are, left to right, a watercolour of the Pennsylvania Railroad complete with timetable, the What is Drunk? Drunken Quotes poster we picked up at Ben Franklin's, and a huge five-foot-by-five-foot map of Pennsylvania. My Da' is a geek. Lovable, and a geek.
So. ^__^ That was fun.

Ahem. That is not "cluttered", madam. My system of organisation is simply very crowded. However, everything in there is carefully stacked and positioned so that I'll always know where everything is.

Nice watches are lovely, and very hard to come by. Mine was on sale and Ben Franklin's.

I think it's got the real book in it as well as other things. They include Charles Dickens among the authors, at any rate, and I know that the novel was finished off by other people. If it's not the right one, I suppose I'll just send out.

Your room is absolutely gorgeous; so colourful and pretty, especially the corner with all the scarves. <3333
Bunny is so cute!

Thank you so much! I love the scarf corner. You can't hardly see, but in the back there's a big roll of carpet that I was allowed to have when they carpeted the stairs. It's all thick and green and lovely. I'm so glad you like the room! ^___^
Bunny was wonderful
and delicious.
