Here at library; shelving. Have once again run across that romance novel entitled "Tall, Dark, and Cranky": as a result, must once again beg [livejournal.com profile] tiamatschild to write her romance-novel summary of Twenty-Thousand Leagues Under the Seas.

...Please?

I can't believe it's not Friday... *_*

But I have cummings! As soon as I get home, you'll see.

I was just introduced to e.e. cumming this year. There are no words to describe his brilliance. None. Seriously. -_-

Except I am not as fond of all his poetry. His love poetry, some of it, I find distasteful. But much of his ah-ness and his war poetry is dramatic and lasting-effective.

Truth be told, I've only read a few of his poems. ;p We read "maggie and milly and molly and may" this year in English class, and I loved it more than I've ever loved any other poem. It's so complex in its simplicity. And my ex-boyfriend typed up one of cummings' poems back when we were dating...now that I think about it, obviously it was probably one of his love poems, but I don't remember it. I could go back and find it. The one line that I remember was: "No one, not even the rain, has such small hands" (except without proper punctuation, of course XD).

I love maggie and milly and molly and may! It's in the Oxford Book, and so lovely. One I think you would probably like is:

; and there's always the infamous Buffalo Bill's (http://www.americanpoems.com/poets/eecummings/11888)... Oh, yes, I think the more you see of cummings the more you'll like him, 'tually. Unlike me, you, also, will probably like his love poetry; and Tumbling-Hair (http://www.geocities.com/SoHo/8454/eec.htm).
