"You're So Beautiful..."

I'm, er, I'm almost finished with the cake. I've only to finish the truffles and decorate it...
And Mum saw to Nanni's birthday gift since I've picked it out, so I shall certainly be able to get it.
...
Hullo, world? Those are my ears you're crashing down around, d'you mind?
'M going to go finish the cake now.
I wish everything would sort out for everybody. It isn't fair the way things go, (not for me, for everybody) and I'm tired of people I love having to be sad on account of things. I'm just angry and flailing at the universe, which honestly doesn't care. But it isn't fair, and I wish things would sort out right, (and I'm not sad for me, I'm feeling cheated for everybody) and I wish I could do something better than wishing.
If I had roses, I would mail them.
If I had the right sort of words, I would say them.
I think I will make prayers along with cake. If nobody minds being prayed for, as that's rather a problem for a little Episcopalian girl who has a flist of agnostics and so forth. But unless somebody minds, I am going to make prayers tied up with blue ribbons and wrapt in brown paper, and I am going to leave them in a wooden church with stained-glass windows somewhere on the edge of a lake in New York, where someone with loon-feather wings can find them.
That is all.
I love you so much.
