"Your Kindness is Worth my Lifetime of Song..."

To-day has gone disturbingly well; I don't feel at all safe. Mmmph. Something is so going to happen. Also, work has resulted in my hands being covered with paint, and the only way it seems to come off is by peeling. XD But. We all had so much fun with the paint, so it of course was worth it. Also, Louise did parachute to-day. Louise never, never, never gets out of bed, and it's difficult to get her to respond (she's schizophrenic, among other things), but to-day she was out and she recognised me by my voice, and when I asked her to the activity, she said 'will you be there?' and I said yes, and she said she'd come! ^_______^ I'm just so happy that she was out of bed and active. I love Louise.

Mum bought me jeans, and they fit! ^___^ And I don't have to know what size they are, and I didn't have to try them on, and therefore I didn't have any hysterics.

And now I must go off to support group. Amy had better be there. ^____^

Yes, I agree, skin should stay on your hands...I used to do home remodeling and reconstruction, so I often had paint on my hands...

Oooh, wow. That's really neat...! Was that what you first majored in, or later, or--?

Nah, I really just picked it up on my own. My brother, dad and I started a business, we would buy old houses and renovate them, then resell them. My brother still has the business, but he and my dad had a little separation of ways (business wise, not family wise, but it's hard to keep them separate, though). So now it's my brother and my brother-in-law doing it. It was a lot of fun, though. I loved tearing things down and building them up again. It was so awesome to go into a house that looked like a total dump, and then seeing this beautiful new home when you were all finished.

That is so cool. It really, really is. My goodness. So what do you do now?

Now I go to school, I'm studying to be a Catholic priest...quite a bit different, huh? Then again, not so much. I mean, a priest is supposed to help someone who is broken spiritually, and help restore them to the beautiful person that God created them to be, kind of like I did with houses. Hmm, I never thought of that before.

Ohhh, that's really wonderful. ^___^ I'm an Episcopalian, which one of my ladies described as being "next thing to a Catholic" to-day, but people have frequently tried to convert me to Christianity upon hearing it, so I'm not sure. But I think that's wonderful.

[identity profile] catholic-heart.livejournal.com 2006-08-10 03:16 am (UTC)(link)
Oh sure, the Episcopal Church has lots of similarities.

What do you mean people have tried to convert you to Christianity? Do you tell them that Episcopal is Christian? That's very funny, I hear that sometimes, too, people saying that Catholic is not Christian. They don't seem to like it when I tell them that Catholic is the original Christian. And they really don't like it when I show them that the Catholic Church is the only church started by the apostles, with a direct lineage to Christ. Oh well, it gives them something to think about, instead of trying trying to judge me for not being their kind of Christian :)

Really? I didn't know that...!

It's so weird. Some people sort of assume that their denomination is the only real denomication. Wtf. XD

I know, with so much fighting and violence in the world, you would wish that Christians especially would realize that we all worship the same Jesus, so maybe we could start getting along a little better and become examples for peace instead of the opposite.

I know, I know. ;__________; We can be awfully stupid and awfully loud.

[identity profile] catholic-heart.livejournal.com 2006-08-11 02:11 am (UTC)(link)
Indeed, and stupid and loud make for a very bad combination.

[identity profile] rainbowjehan.livejournal.com 2006-08-11 02:25 am (UTC)(link)
It is vastly unfortunate.
