You must have been using the good kind. :) ...I guess Polonius isn't as obscure as my costume from two years ago. I was someone from a random short story which wasn't known by anyone at all. (I'd left my costume to the last minute and needed to get something together quickly.) Although really if I say "Polonius from Hamlet" people will say "OK, whatever."
