"When They are Both Full-Grown..."
I win. XD I'm sick. Sore throat, possible fever, slightly dizzy. I'm sorry. I didn't mean to get sick. ^^
To-morrow we're going to look at house and bakes for church. Then Sunday we're getting our Jesse/Christmas tree. Jesse because we're Episcopalian.
I finished Lioness and Her Knight to-day, and then got Parsifal's Page and read it in a few hours. He's so dear. I can't focus. :D I will go back to posting anti-OTPs.
--this shouldn't sound depressed. I'm fine! I'm really happy. I'm just not very coherent or well, that's all. ^_^ But I'm okay. And I went card shopping, so I'm going to have to make a christmas card poll pretty soon.

...Jesse?

...Yes. It's extremely silly, but, basically, you can't have a Christmas tree until Christmas, if you're a strict Episcopalian. But we all want Christmas trees. So somewhere in the Bible it says about the root of Jesse that will become Christ? So the root can be interpreted loosely as a tree. So all Advent trees symbolise the root of Jesse from which the Saviour will come, and then at Christmas becomes that tree that has grown from the root.
...Told you it was silly.

So is Jesse Jesus, or someone else entirely...?

Ancestor. Root can be translated as seed is family. I think--Jesse was David's father, or something? David is the much more famous ancestor of Jesus, but Jesse really began the line, so Jesus is from the root of Jesse.
Technically it doesn't work at all, since Mary was impregnated by the Holy Spirit, and it's Joseph, I think, who's a descendant of Jesse, but. The Bible needs no logic.
