"You Say I Took the Name in Vain..."

...This day is much too beautiful to be a Monday. XD

Had work to-day; work was really rather all right. Gayle is back from the hospital; she's still really, really sick, but she's back! I put up a poster in her room that says GAYLE FANLISTING. GET BETTER SOON. LOVE, and a blank and a pencil for people to write their names. I expect people will, as everybody loves Gayle (it's hard not to). When I left she was still feeling awful, but she was a smiling a bit, so. Triumph.

Aaaand I said good-bye to Linda, as she is going home(!), and visited with Anna. I haven't done it properly in a long time, and I just dodged in to see her to-day, and as I was going she said she missed seeing me, but she knew I was really busy, so she tried not to mind, and I went "..." and spent a half-hour with her. I really haven't spent enough time with her, and she's sick now, too. All my beautiful ladies are getting sick. And Rheba's back--I went in to see her and yelled at her for coming back, and she went "XD XD" and we gabbled about flowers and the weather and how she needed to stop coming back and how her knee was and how glad we were to see each other and we hugged and kissed a lot. I adore Rheba. Sekritly I'm glad as anything to see her again, but I am sorry she's back.

And I saw Eleanor, who isn't feeling well, and gave her hugs; and annoyed Robert, which his family seemed to find funny. >_> And saw Harry, who is doing Okay, and Rosemary, who is scared of the high winds, and met Nicolas and bothered him. He was very nice about it. Apart from that, everything is mostly the same as usual, and I hugged everybody and gave out calenders and need to see whether I'm free to help out with the tea next Thursday and the dinner outing on the thirty-first. I love my people so much. I need to spend more time with them than I have been.

In other news, just a note for the D.C. PEOPLE. YES, YOU. I SEE YOU THERE. YOU CANNOT HIDE.

Everybody knows that we're seeing ROS AND GUIL at TWO O'CLOCK on SATURDAY the SIXTEENTH of JUNE, and HAMLET at EIGHT O'CLOCK the SAME DAY, right? Right. I will try to find the theatres we're actually seeing them at and post addresses on my journal so everybody can make sure they know where to go, as we are going to meet at Ros and Guil theatre about half an hour early. Actually, as a side note, who's going to see Ros and Guil? I know that everybody has tickets for Hamlet, but I don't know who signed up for R&G. Ahaha disorganised what. Be quiet. We're going to have dinner together before Hamlet, as per [livejournal.com profile] mmebahorel's suggestion.

IF ANYONE CANNOT MAKE IT TO HAMLET, PLEASE SAY SO I CAN GIVE YOUR TICKET TO DILI.

Thank you! ♥

On a side side note, Zara, can you come to visit in May? Can I call you? Do you love me any more? Is it over? WAS IT ME? Thanks!

I hope Gayle gets better, though I don't know who she is. If you see her, you can sign 'Sylvie P.' on her fanlisting if you like. Though that might confuse her...

Sounds like you had a great time, but what were all the people doing? Was it a party or something?

Have a super-awesome time seeing your shows on the sixteenth! :)

She's one of my ladies at the nursing home where I work. And I will do that. It'll make her laugh; she laughs a lot.

They were complaining about the fact that they can't leave. XD And the food. I was standing around being solicitious. I love my people.

Thank you! ♥

I am dead of gradumacation. I have just spent seven hours on the turnpike. I can probably come visit in May. You have my ticket for Hamlet and I have yours for Ros&Guil, or am I making this up?

Love to your people. ♥

I want to see RaGAD and Hamlet... woe is me! (And if my brother makes it out of D.C. without seeing any Shakespeare, I'm gonna kill him. :P)

Dinner is gonna have to be before Hamlet, darling - I'm not entirely sure where I can take you underage people in the middle of the night *g*. (seriously, I think we'd have to head back up to Dupont - Afterwords is open all night, Bistrot du Coin until 1 am, or Bistro français in Georgetown is open until something like 2 or 3 am. These are not anywhere near the Shakespeare. Everything in Penn Quarter/Gallery Place will either be closed by the time Hamlet lets out or it'll be heavily alcoholic. I seriously don't know if underage people can get into RFD after 11 pm.)

I'll be at first preview of Ros and Guil in two weeks (dear god, kill me now, why did I schedule a four show week?) so I'll have a sense of run time on that. It's probably better to head to Gallery Place after the show and have dinner there since that's the neighbourhood of the Shakespeare. It's better to have time to linger over dinner rather than have to cut short in order to high tail it to the theatre.

As for recommendations, my usual go-tos in that area are Jaleo and Zaytinya. We'll need to make a reservation since there will be so many of us.

Argh, I bet you are. *huuugs* Get some good rest, okay? That would be wonderful. I do, you do, and you are not. ♥

Ohhh, thank you for being more sensible about this than I am! ♥ Thank you so much. I will e-mail Natalie about this.

*woes!* I don't suppose you'd want to come to New Jersey and see Midsummer or Measure for Measure (and possibly me in scenes)?

[identity profile] rainbowjehan.livejournal.com 2007-05-01 01:46 am (UTC)(link)
Ooo. I don't know if I can, really. But it sounds tantalising.

It would be awesome if you could. :D And oo, I looked at my calendar, and on July 18, both Measure and Midsummer are playing (...at the same time, but there's also the night before and the night after) and then my group does Shakespeare scenes!

... might I tag along or is it far too late? I live right near whyless.

Ooohhhh, shinyyyy.

[identity profile] rainbowjehan.livejournal.com 2007-05-01 02:22 am (UTC)(link)
Absolutely, although I don't know whether you can get tickets at this point...!

There will definitely be updates on this throughout the summer. :)

I shall ask Maya in school tomorrow. If not, it might be nice just to meet you at some point in time. <3

[identity profile] rainbowjehan.livejournal.com 2007-05-01 02:30 am (UTC)(link)
Absolutely. ^__^
