I should bring my version out more. :D I haven't really written it - it's really, really, really au, and features Sasha The Former Soviet Partisan who kind of got himself exiled to the US and is superstious as anything in a very amusingly devoted communist sort of way, which Pyetr, who doesn't have Sasha's ideological convictions or his firm belief in old beliefs, thinks is totally insane.

('veshka's the daughter of a very cranky former mentor of Sasha's - I think, I haven't totally worked out that relationship - who gets herself mixed up in the mob.)
