Yeah, it's worth asking about. Both of my doctors have been really great about samples, and have offered them up to bridge gaps in prescriptions (like when the mail-order pharmacy screwed up once) and to help me get by when I didn't have great health insurance/prescription coverage. They are there to help you. :)
