"Some Say He Farmed His Best in Yonder Years..."

HAPPY BIRTHDAY [livejournal.com profile] mhari OMG!!!! *glomps* We love you! You are wonderful and brilliant and talented and very, very loved, and Soujin wishes you many happy returns of the natal day.

I seem to have written you a poem-present:

"Which Investor's Coming? (I'll Take the Leather) Your Father? Damn!"

O-kay!

By request of [livejournal.com profile] cette_vie, Soujin's LJ is now part of a strange and wondrous contest. What is this contest, you ask?

Why, Guess the Song Quote, of course! The Soujin titles all her posts with quotes from some song, musical, or poem, every day, seven days a week, &c &c. Your job, as someone on my flist or reading my journal, is just to leave a comment with the next line every time you see a quote you recognise. However, as this could probably get old fast, it shall be done only on Mondays. Saah.

But to-day counts, too. Because.

In other news, we are apparently getting a car. I say "apparently", as of course no one tells me these things. I only found out to-day when we went to the dealership. Anyway, we are getting a hybrid. This is nice. It is a very smooth hybrid, if it runs anything like the one Mum test-drove.

Am vaguely interested, but sadly not too much. Cars are not on my list of interests.

Rode the horse to-day, though. He v. annoying.

Have I mentioned that we're selling Sierra Licorice Titania whatever the hell her name is now. The dapple mare. If anyone is interested, I shall give pictures and talk about her.

"The old ways are lost, you said as you flew, and I wondered why..."

If there are still people on my flist who have never read Eight Days of Luke, I demand that they do so now. Now. It is the wickedest book ever, and I love it deeply. By Diana Wynne Jones. Go, read.

Also, [livejournal.com profile] mmebahorel? May I have a link to the place you translated the OFC? I had it on my favourites before, but when we got the new computer, I lost it.
