OMG! Harbert HAS A LAST NAME!

At least, in the Sidney Kravitz translation. O_O He's HARBERT BROWN. HA HA!

...I don't believe it. Anyway, I won't be using it in this fic, so ha. It doesn't matter anyway. Nyeh. *sticks out tongue at Harbert Brown*

Right. I'm working. >_> I just found that little tidbit in my researching.

...it's Harbert Brown in the Jordan Stump translation, too. =o Or, at least, my version...

Mine too - the 2002 paperback Modern Library edition.

Crazy. *peers at copy of book and thumps it reproachfully*

*pats* At least no one ever calls him by it?

That's true... -_-

Well, in the front of my Jordan Stump, there's a long, pretentious rant about Harbert being the one character with no discernable first or last name; no clue to his true indentity; nothing more than a single name which the author seems to have completely made up; &c &c &-majorly-c. So I've been convinced, until this very moment, that Harbert has no last name.

Came as a bit of a shock, really.
