"Who Blushes at a Band of Gold..."
Dear flist:
Does anybody know anything about downloading sites for iPods? We have a gentleman in the house who needs to know.
So I am abusing my resources. :D Anybody?

And, one can survive without ever using the iTunes store, by loading CDs and whatnot onto the computer and putting them on the iPod, too.
[OMG!!! Marius! Just came on the radio!]

iTunes comes with your iPod when you get it and is the default program for playing music on your computer and putting it on your iPod (same basic idea as realplayer, etc. but specially synchronized with the iPod).
There is also the iTunes Music Store, which is a web site where you can buy ($0.99 per song as mentioned above) music to put in iTunes and thereby on the iPod. You can get to the Music Store from iTunes but they are actually 2 different things.
Most people just put the music they already have on their iPod. Once you've installed iTunes, just stick a CD in your computer and iTunes makes it very easy to import it. Or, for music already on your computer, just drag songs into the Library on iTunes.
All this is in the instructions with the iPod and, like all Apple products, it's extremely user-friendly and easy to learn. In conclusion, your gentleman friend doesn't need to buy anything other than the Pod itself!
