"She's a Radio Playing in the Dark..."

Okay, D.C. people, [livejournal.com profile] mmebahorel got us dinner reservations. :D Information is here, please look. That means you.

In other news, my body hates me.

And Orson Welles is ridiculously icky.

(Must write next chapter of Catechism. Is all planned out. But to-morrow is baking day, and also I have Religion = Love group from three to five. Mmm, busy.)

Yay!

Silly body. *tickles it*

Is he?

(Oooh, the action packed life of a Soujin. ^^)

[identity profile] rainbowjehan.livejournal.com 2007-06-07 03:11 am (UTC)(link)
I know!

It is awful. ;_____; I think I may have to start taking medicine for the GERD, because owww.

Oh, don't get me started. XD Him and his damn sweaty closeups.

(I know! It's like being in a film.)

[identity profile] gileonnen.livejournal.com 2007-06-07 03:29 am (UTC)(link)
Ditto the body. =( =( =( But Catechism is love, and constantly inspires me to write--!

(ZOMG DRIVING TO MARYLAND IN TWO DAYS.)

[identity profile] rainbowjehan.livejournal.com 2007-06-07 03:40 am (UTC)(link)
Yours too? It is most unfair...! Well, chapter twenty is in the editing process, and I'm working on chapter twenty-one.

(ZOMG ZOMG.)

[identity profile] gileonnen.livejournal.com 2007-06-07 03:46 am (UTC)(link)
Well, at least I'm no longer massively irrational--! And do you have any other fanfic requests?

(Am I meeting you folk at the theatre, or at the station? And although we buy our tickets through the Studio Theatre website, the site indicates that R&G is performing at the Mead Theatre as the specific venue. Is that inside the Studio Theatre, or is that somewhere else?)

[identity profile] rainbowjehan.livejournal.com 2007-06-07 04:05 am (UTC)(link)
Well, that's good! ♥ Besides Clar/Gareth? >_>

(You're coming to R&G, right? So we'll probably meet at the theatre. And, um. I. have no idea. I'd assume it was at the Mead Theatre, but I really don't know the area. Possibly [livejournal.com profile] mmebahorel can clarify? I love how I am dumping everything on her because she's familiar with DC theatre stuff.

[identity profile] gileonnen.livejournal.com 2007-06-07 04:08 am (UTC)(link)
... that needs to get written, eh? What with them sharing a bed, and everything--I just think I'd fail at writing Clar. We'll see. ^_^;

(I'm coming to R&G; how early would you like me at the theatre? And do you mind awfully if I am on the phone with Zara constantly from the moment I'm about to get off the metro until the moment at which I get to the theatre? Because that way I have someone to tell instantly if I'm in imminent danger of rape/mugging/murder/street musicians. Sorry for all of the questions!)

[identity profile] rainbowjehan.livejournal.com 2007-06-07 04:13 am (UTC)(link)
It almost became canon, actually, but there was a hitch. Clar is not at all sane. But in the next chapter there is a fair amount of her.

(Probably half an hour? ^^ That would be fine, I would think. No, no, I'm sorry I'm not more helpful. >_>)

[identity profile] gileonnen.livejournal.com 2007-06-07 04:16 am (UTC)(link)
Oooh, I can study her speech patterns! Sounds like fun!

(I can totally do that. That gives me plenty of time to get lost! ^____^)

[identity profile] rainbowjehan.livejournal.com 2007-06-07 04:20 am (UTC)(link)
XD I love you.

(Okay, great! )

[identity profile] silverdragon262.livejournal.com 2007-06-07 04:35 am (UTC)(link)
I believe that the Studio Theater has three different performance areas within the main site-- one of them is the Mead. :D

Also, do feel free to call, if it would make you feel safer. We can pass the phone back and forth since I am terrified of people.

[identity profile] gileonnen.livejournal.com 2007-06-07 04:41 am (UTC)(link)
Oooh, snazzy. That's what I was hoping was the case. ^____^

So am I, heh. It would. I've already determined to wear my purse under my clothes when I am on the streets to reduce the chance of mugging. ^_^;;

[identity profile] mmebahorel.livejournal.com 2007-06-07 01:02 pm (UTC)(link)
Studio is the theatre company. In their complex, they have three theatres (Metheny - which I think I just mispelled, Mead - named for Gilbert who just died like last week *sob*, and whatever they call the little black box one upstairs). The Mead is ground level in the back. Will call is straight to the back, then you go to the right for the Mead. (also, the ladies room is back there.) You will pass the Metheny as you walk through the lobby to the ticket desk.

That part of P street is perfectly safe, for the record. Use Dupont Circle metro if you're worried - that walk takes you through a nice residential neighbourhood. U Street is on U Street and the area between there and Studio is marginally more sketch. Of course, I walk it alone at night after the show all the time and it's no big deal, but then I've lived in big cities for eight years and prefer to just deal as opposed to never go anywhere. Just walk with a purpose, don't look scared, and if you think you're lost, ask for directions because people in DC are nice. There is no need to be afraid in that part of DC. (that part of DC is full of skinny white girls and gay men - we're not talking ghetto, here.)

[identity profile] gileonnen.livejournal.com 2007-06-07 02:42 pm (UTC)(link)
Oooh, that's wonderfully helpful! Thank you so very much!

Hah. In my dad's time, it was full of street musicians and druggies, but he was there in the 70s. ^_^; I'm not too scared for myself, because everyone who's young and female and familiar with the area has been telling me it's no big deal--but my parents are afraid, because my Dad grew up there, and so I'm trying to listen to their concerns. ^_^;; (And I will be using Dupont Circle--among other things, it's a shorter walk, although it's even better to hear it's through a residential neighborhood!)

[identity profile] mmebahorel.livejournal.com 2007-06-07 02:51 pm (UTC)(link)
yeah, the druggies got replaced by gay men, then the gay men got older and bought tiny dogs, and now they're being replaced by skinny white couples with no children. Welcome to gentrification in DC :)

The biggest problem with walking to U street (I live on the green line so it's way easier for me to go home that way) is that I have to walk past the jazz club and it's always tempting to stop in for a drink but I never do because I tend to go on Wednesday previews which means I have to get up for work the next day.

[identity profile] gileonnen.livejournal.com 2007-06-07 02:54 pm (UTC)(link)
=( =( =( I'm sad to have missed the gay men. It would have been somehow familiar.

Oooh, that does sound a problem. Be strong, madame!
