-This is really kind of wonderful in a way, but there was this woman around here who was being sued by her landlady, and then her landlady had an attack right in the middle of the courtroom, and this lady (who was a licensed nurse) gave her mouth-to-mouth and kept her in a stable condition until the ambulance got her. Despite the fact she was being sued! The article didn't say whether the landlady dropped the case.

-Dover Book Catalogue is currently selling Obama & Family and McCain & Family paper dolls. I am not making this up. Paper dolls. Of John McCain. The tagline is 'support your candidate the fun way!'. Both paper doll books come with a scorecard so you can mark off which states they win.

-To-day is my sister's birthday. ♥ She had five kind of ice cream and a gateau basque.

-I made the very best gateau basque I have ever made! The creme patissiere came out perfect. It thickened just when it was supposed to and I put in vanilla bean so it had the speckles in it, and the cake part wrapt up around just right and I made enough batter and it cooked up brown and crispy on the outside and all full of pudding inside and it was great. I have never had it come out that good before!

-Guineas are beautiful, but I am sick of chasing turkeys out of the garden.

-I am going to college on Friday.

-I am going to Knoebels to-morrow! :D I have not been since I was about thirteen. I am so excited. I love roller coasters.

Aaaw, that's a great story. It should be a scene in a movie or something.

...dare I ask what outfits the paper dolls have? I can't imagine they're very interesting. Unless they're too interesting.

In 1996 (when I was in 5th grade), I made a paper doll of Bob Dole by tracing his head out of a book and adding a body. It was for use as a voodoo doll, though, not to play with. I coughed on it when I was sick and put it in a box. I was a scary little Democrat. :D

OMG college!! Sage advice from me: if freshman orientation kind of sucks, don't despair; in my experience, things get better when classes start (YAY LEARNING!!). Also, you must give us your school address when you get it!
