"Make the Most of Freedom and of Pleasure..."
Excuse me, I am going to go kill myself. >_>
So I was going to switch my CWS class and pick up Quantative Methods, which is basically (I was told) remedial chem, which I really need? So I've been meeting with my new CWS class and I really like everybody in it and I love my student teacher; and then I found out to-day that I can't take QM, I have to take Pre-Calc, and that meets the same time as my CWS, so I have to keep my original CWS, where I don't know anybody because I haven't gone all orientation.
ALSO the money Daddy says he put in my account for books still hasn't shown up, and considering that I have already bought all my books and at any moment the cheques for those are going to come through and overdraw my account (I put my whole savings into my account, but it isn't enough to cover the cost of books) I am doing a lot of dancing in a panicky way.
Also both my feet have become infected and I need to see Campus Health and Wellness but I don't know when that's open; I still haven't set up my voicemail; and the campus is so big and this huge sudden social attack is making me so nervous I keep randomly bursting into tears.
On the plus side, when my computer froze a half hour ago and I nearly had a nervous breakdown, my roommate looked up how to fix it online and also texted a friend of hers who is good with computers, and we got it fixed. So she is basically the nicest roommate ever.
I cannot wait to have everything straightened out, though. It will be nice to be done with histrionics every half hour.

So what I'm trying to say is that yeah, college is full of confusing things at first, but soon you'll get the hang of it and it'll be fine! *clings again*
Also, you are so fortunate to have a nice roommate! It makes everything better.

My roommate is super.

You might have found this already, but I poked around and found the page for your Health and Wellness Center, which has the hours on it.

Actually, I now have the class thing basically figured out, people invited me to sit with them at lunch, and I am on antibiotics. So I feel a little better.

(I only say all this because I've had really similar problems before...)
Your roommates sounds wonderful.

♥ My roommate is a very good girl.

But it's good that you have a nice roommate. So many people wind up with all sorts of roommate horror stories in college, and I probably would have killed something if I'd gotten one of those -- as is, I'm going on my third year living with the same girl, and she's become one of my best friends.
You could look up the Health and Wellness stuff online? I got through my entire first year not even knowing where University Health Services here was, because they just didn't talk about it much during orientation, the RAs didn't explain it, stuff like that, but I looked it up when I finally got too sick not to go, and it was pretty easy to find.

That is true. I am very lucky on the roommate front. I'm glad you have a good one too! <333
I just walked down. >_> Because I could, dammit. And got pretty much everything worked out, too, which is great.

...I don't have any reassuring anecdotes yet. >_> I'll get back to you next week?

In concurrence with everyone else...don't fret, this is actually totally normal for the first week of college, whether it's your first semester or your 20 billionth, like mine. (Okay, not really, but it feeeeels like I was at community college forever.) I have my first day at SF State on Wednesday and I keep flailing and panicking, but I suspect once Wednesday is over, I'll be perfectly fine and things will start settling down.
I'm glad your roommate is wonderful, and as soon as my schedule settled into normalcy, I'll send you a care package full of goodies that will, at first glance, look like a shoebox. ;D

Thank you, you. <333
OMG. You people!
