"I Hear the Soldiers Quit Their Dying, One and All..."
I just think you guys should know that my life is no longer my own.
(I really want this one. I think it would even be cute on me. I love this one too, but I'm a lot more dubious about my ability to wear it.)
On a related note, I feel you should all know about Clyne Management, which, besides having a lot of interesting faces and being a good place to go for possible PBs, has models who are actual real body sizes. Mostly the girls are size eights, but there are nines and tens as well. That is, like, actually human, flist.
...
omg!
Edit: this one wants to come live in my closet. I KNOW IT. Oh God there's only one left and it's a medium, it's my size...! :D :D :D Sigh, why are clothes so expensive when you don't get them second-hand?
Edit 2: I lied, I don't think it's my size. Their sizing chart is weird. And they don't sell anything big enough for me, I don't think--their large is 18 inches waist, which--that sounds really teeny. I shall go cry in a corner now.
Edit 3: OH GOSH BUT THIS FITS. OMG.

I love this site, despite my gothy leanings not really liking a lot of the dresses. They have peacock tights that I am trying to convince myself are worth the 30 dollars they charge...

Their sizing chart is ridiculous. By my best interpretation, the "normal" size would be approx. double the number they give. Hence their 18" waist would be what normal people would say is around a 36", give or take.
However, this is not exact. Example: I am a 31.5" bust (yes, I am flat like a teenage boy). However, when I measure a shirt that fits me snugly the way they measure their clothes, it measures as a 13.5", which doubled is 27". So, in conclusion, I have no idea what crack their measurements are on.

That is... so weird. I mean--backs push outward, so an only fronty measurement isn't accurate for all around anyway. I don't even know, Twitchy, that just hurts my head.

It is very dumb, and we should all write letters and tell them to measure things on the dress form, like normal people.

Also, I'd be surprised if nothing fit you, because just the other day my friend and I were going through that site and I was pleasantly surprised. I'd assumed from their ads that they only catered to skinny girls, but I found that not to be the case. :D!

Twitchy just explained their sizing chart to me. XD I am an idiot, der.

And yeah, the measurements are measuring across the garment laid flat. It sounds really weird, but I've used it for sizing garments I am knitting and it works fairly well. The idea is that you take something that fits you really well and sits where you want the garment to sit and match the measurement. (Probably this has been explained upthread, but brainless Jess is brainless so there you go.)
That Corner Cafe Dress... I think it made me faint with delight. Several weeks ago, I had to stop myself from buying this dress to wear to WisCon. (Instead, I wore the unbelievable skirt seen here, which I already bought on a clearance rack elsewhere.)

See, that actually does make sense, because you're measuring something you already know fits the way you want it to. I definitely did not get that the first time around, though.
Isn't it so cute? --Eeee! (Is that you in that picture?)

THE OCTOPUS CUFF. I have vowed that if I ever see a woman wearing that and carrying a parasol they have somewhere on that site I will ask her out on the spot no matter what.
The seashells dress would be perfect for you ^___^ And I'm positive the purple one would be good, and I think you could pull off Bedroom Eyes~!

OMG ISN'T IT THE BEST THING EVER? I do have a parasol, although not one off the site. It's a funny little Thai one I got in Washington D.C.
I wish I had them aaaaallll. Covet covet covet.

I love parasols ^___^ They are so cuteness. Not enough women use parasols anymore! Not enough men, either, but that's not quite as cute a thing, and I'm not sure it's an anymore.
I wish I could see someone wearing them all! Covet covet.

Mine is bluuuue with pink flowers. I love it.
XD Oh man, that would be fun, too.
