"They Built a Statue of Us..."

I have a new kitten! His name is Mabon, and he's teensy and grey tiger coloured and very, very lovey. Also, he's going to be an indoor kitty, at least as long as I can reasonably argue for it, because I am tired of having my heart broken. Yesterday he got lost for two hours and I was searching the whole house and I said to Mama, "Why do I keep doing this? I do not think it is worth it," but she rightly pointed out that he had to be somewhere in the house, and as it happened he was stuck behind the computer. The Tribble hates him.

It was so beautiful being home. The leaves have mostly changed and it is just all so striking and breathtaking and sweet-smelling. Everything has that weird leaf-smell that goes with autumn. There are pumpkins and mums for sale everywhere, and the Mennonites are selling bundled cornstalks and Indian corn.

Maggie and Mama and Daddy and I moved the pigs one last time (their date of execution is November 5), and they sunned themselves while I scratched them. It was wonderful.

I'm so glad your break turned out well. :)

Kitten sounds lovely! I hope he leads a long, happy, house-bound life!

I am too! It was really peaceful and a nice chance to get out of the world for a little.

I hope so too. *menaces him* :E

Kittons are ridiculous and lovely. Dear Mabon: GROW UP BIG AND SMART PLZ.

I WILL SEND HIM THAT MESSAGE FOR HIS OWN GOOD. By the way, the Tribble is identical to River now, just a different colour.

If there's one thing I've learned about cats, it's that there's nowhere they can't hide. And once you've searched all those places and are freaking out because you think someone might have left a door open to the Great Outside World, you find them sitting on a chair in the dining room, looking at you like you're an idiot. Oh, cats.

...That is so exactly true. I was terrified maybe Daddy had let him out to get smushed on the road, but nope.

My cats used to go down into the crawlspace somehow. Turned out there was a big ol' gap somewhere in the flooring that we couldn't find because it was the sort of thing only cats are capable of fitting in, because cats are made of liquid. We could always find them because they couldn't get back out and they would whine and whine and whine!

*diiiiies* yes. That's why they're currently not allowed in the basement--there are so many places to get lost there that we can't get into ourselves, and we don't know what we'd do if they got stuck.

I have a question, by the way--I am writing another paper for that doomish religion class--can I send it to you and have it back by Sunday morning?

Awww, the kitties!

Yes indeed ^___^ I'll get it done soon, too ^_^

They are so cute and fuzzy! I need to post pictures.

Thank you, you are a lifesaver. <333 I just have to finish the last page.
