"Circle Into the Driveway..."

So, guys, you probably know that mhari's father died the day before Thanksgiving. It was completely unexpected and their family was in no way prepared--he went into the hospital with a slight fever, got an infection in his heart, and had to have emergency surgery without having time to get off his blood-thinners, and as a result he bled out during the surgery.

Currently her family is. Not doing well financially. They don't have a source of steady income, and their mom (my Other Mom) suffers from clinical depression and will have a really hard time finding a job.

Now is a really important time for them to be able to keep things together from a monetary standpoint while they're grieving and dealing with the aftermath, and with that in mind, it's time for a fanfic drive.

So you probably can guess the drill! I will write a hundred words of anything you like per five dollars donated, ad nauseam. I write Arthurian (in many incarnations), Les Mis, Westmark, Biblefic, some Firefly, Star Trek TOS, X-Men: Evolutions, and any and all crossovers of the above. I'm good for het, slash, and gen. I will even (God help me) continue the great Gawain-is-a-Vampire Romance Novel. You name your price, my friends.

Please feel free to pimp this to anyone you know who also knows mhari, as I am nowhere near friends with all her friends.

Wish it could be more, sadly; I'm ancy about too much outlay until I get a job, but if that is soon and/or the offer still stands later, we shall see.

This is so wonderful of you. I wasn't going to ask for any fic, but since I see you're being insistent about it, I shall go ahead and ask.

So... Oddly enough, I think I'm going to request Biblefic. Preferably Old Testament -- anything from Genesis is great, or really any of the earlier books. Or David/Jonathan, if you're in the mood for something approaching slash. ;)

(Or, if a request for Biblefic is just a bit too weird coming from me, I will also love anything with oldschool Kirk and Spock in it, slashy or otherwise. :D)

Hello! We haven't met before but I saw this on cleolinda's Twitter so I have dropped by! As soon as my check comes in next week I will definitely be donating, no fic necessary, but I just wanted to take a second to thank you for doing this because I know how hard it is to lose someone and have to go on without much help/support.

(Oh, also, God forgive me, but I must say that Jonathan/David is my Bible OTP, and seeing it requested earlier made me squee. I might have to creep around here and keep an eye out for it, as I've never read any before!)

What a heartbreakingly good cause. Donated, and I've had a hankering lately to see Christmas on Serenity--I mean, it's such a huge holiday in the Western world, I'm sure it's survived in some form (with some Chinese New Year additions maybe, I dunno), and it just seems fun.
