"Out Where the Dreams All Hide..."

Observations from to-day:

There are few things more fun than sliding in neutral down a long straight hill, especially when you top sixty mph. It helps if your windows are run down, you are blasting The Killers, and your car is on the verge of falling apart.

Capitalist America is a wonderful place, and I can say this with certainty because one of the twenty-five cent vending machines in the market is selling various moustaches under the heading MASTERS OF DISGUISE. I almost bought one for the lolz.

[livejournal.com profile] periculous is awesome and I wish I had seen her this summer.

One of our pullet is laying already! At three months old! This is highly satisfactory.

Ex-Mennonites who like good beer make the best dinner hosts.

I should have gone to bed an hour ago.

Snowy needs to learn to read, part 1-- my initial thoughts: "Your mullet is laying eggs? Um... what? Is that how they breed?"

Also: MUSTACHES. There is a set at the toy store near my house that has a different mustache for every day of the week. There is also a set "for ladies," the only difference being that those are all different shades of pink. I sort of love it.

IT IS.

Ummmm maybe I shall. Every few days I go in there to marvel at how much better toys have gotten since I was a kid. For example, there's a line of toys called 'Food Chain Buddies.' They are these funny monster-ish stuffed toys that come in sets of two or three and the bigger ones can eat the little ones.

That is kind of awesome. I know, the Mennonite general store near our house has a huge toy section and I love going in there and being like MOM BUY ME THIS because the toys are seriously awesome, it is ridiculous.
