"A New Moon Leads Me to Woods of Dreams..."

So my copy of Dorian Gray informs me that there is a different, completely unedited edition of Dorian Gray that has "more homosexual subtext", to which I can only say, how? How can there possibly be more subtext in that book? Lord Henry could outright seduce Dorian, or Basil proclaim undying love, but that's not subtext.

Now, where is this edition and how soon can I get it, I wonder?

My copy has that in it too, and when I was reading the introduction today at the beach house I very nearly squeed, "More slashiness??? I WANT!!" But I would have worried people. :D

Ah, but who cares for worrying the unenlightened mortals when slashiness mayhap may come? *strikes pose*

Bwah... if you find out, tell your good ole friends' list, please!

*salutes* Yes, ma'am!

You know, I love that icon. It looks like a watercolour of Hotohori, although I doubt that's what it is.

You're right, it does look like Hotohori... I never realised. Hmm. 'Tis Sirius Black, though. ^^;

Ooh. ^_^ Much love, even for Sirius.

Even for Sirius? He's not so bad. ^^;

:) I'm not supposed to like HP or its people. Because I'm loyal to DWJ.

Mah, all right then. My view is that JKR may not be entirely /original/, but her writing style is good for my standards, so I shall succumb to peer pressure (or rise against it?) and like her books and characters. ^^;

I read your rant though, and agree it's rather annoying. *hides*

[identity profile] rainbowjehan.livejournal.com 2004-06-19 08:44 pm (UTC)(link)
*snugs* Nothing wrong with that.

O_O

...Oh my goodness. I need this edition. Immediately.

[identity profile] rainbowjehan.livejournal.com 2004-06-19 06:30 pm (UTC)(link)
Word. I think I shall search around for it in used bookstores, online or otherwise.
