I have surgery to-morrow morning; I only mention this incidentally. It's nothing serious. They're taking the cancer out of my shoulder, the one that's been lying in there asleep (I think I was supposed to medicate in preparation for this to-day, but I--didn't), and that's all.

I pulled an all-nighter for my exam, and I think I failed anyway. In any case--to-day at work, a gentleman came in and bought seventeen bags of dill pickle flavoured sunflower seeds and a bottle of gatorade from me. I mention this for Luisa--I mention this because Luisa will laugh, and I much intend for that. Actually, Luisa, some time you should make me telephone you and tell you all the work stories I have in me, because it's worse than my grandfather, I swear it is. You should hear--I think you'd laugh a lot.

Heaven knows I'm tired. I finished four of the six essays I have due this week; at least that's good.

I'm fine! I'm all spacey from the anesthetic, but I'm fine! The doctor said I was a really good patient. ^_^ (I think he's making that up, because I said, 'Can I watch?' and he said, 'not unless I get a mirror', and the nurse gave me this don't even think about it look, and I said, 'no, that's fine'. XD

do you know, you kind of blow me away every time you quote "sweet sir galahad" in your subject line. It is one of my favorite songs and I don't think I've ever run into anyone else who knows it.

Oh, julietveiled gave it to me! She and I both love Joan Baez, and we were trading songs--anyway, she gave it to me. I think it is perhaps the most beautiful song--at any rate it always pains and thrills me. I love it.

Hush, you. That's not an inability. Scratchy recording, yes, and possibly not the ideal song to showcase your voice (Teng will make pretty much anyone sound worse by comparison...), but not an inability. So ner.)

Ah, I was wondering whether you were struggling with the high notes, or whether that was me projecting my own difficulties, because I can't even think about trying to hit some of those notes without my throat closing up in protest... (I like singing along to Tom Waits. I never have to struggle to hit any of his notes... :D)

I have a really, really low range, I can pretty much only sing along with male singers without my voice breaking, and not the higher ones of those. My sing is very fail.
