So, I was going through Waen's art folder, and I found a pen and ink of a bed. Just an ordinary bed. And right above it she'd written, "Here lay one whose name was writ in wine. And one whose name was writ in marble, but we really won't go into that." O_o

Anyway.

A little piece in the Grand Christophe Fic for Cosette and Grantaire. Somehow, it's intrinsic to the plot. I'll explain how in the morning. >_>

I'm confused with my Cosette. I want her to be intelligent, because I'm sick of all the Cosette-bashing on places like ff.n, and I hope that I got her that way. But she's also in love with Marius, and while I don't want her to be nasty, she's going to ignore other people when she's incredibly excited. She's going to bounce when she's euphoric, because people do.

It's difficult to create her, because I don't want her to sound like everyone's stereotype, but I also want her to be a human character, and as a human character, she's going to have faults. Cosette, the way I write her, is going to be a little silly when she's thrilled, and she is in fact rather innocent. She acts innocent. She doesn't understand everything in the world. She's lived half her life in a convent.

I'm just worried about letting her go out into the big, ebil world of ff.n as a result, because I don't want people to look at her and go, "Oh, that's Cosette, all right, the air-headed bitch." She's a person, and as such, she'll have her utterly silly moments, and her angry, hurt moments. I have yet to have met someone who doesn't experience both sorts of moments.

Ah, hell. A Cosette is a difficult thing to keep.
