"Paper Faces on Parade..."
Aug. 9th, 2004 10:13 pmNever underestimate ninety-year-olds in nursing homes. Small and fragile they may look, but they can throw balls very well.
My glasses may never recover.
It was too, too fun. ^______________________^
Only I've just found out Alberta and Mary don't get on, and I should have figured that out before, because I let them do Plant Cart together, and a nurse had to separate them. *_*
And when I went to fetch Charlie for Bingo, he was all excited that my name was Julie, and started telling me about Julie Nixon. "Do you remember Nixon?" says he. "He was the one who said 'I'm not a crook!' on TV."
I gave him the peace sign with both hands, and he went even more excited and starting laughing.
It never actually came up that I hadn't been born when Nixon was around. MAD magazines are dreadfully useful. ^_^
