Just got back from a baseball game. XD
So, we were supposed to be for the people from Harrisburg, but they were really terrible, and also the other team was wearing purple uniforms, and I was wearing all the same colour purple, so I decided I was for their team. Also, they won. This was gratifying.
The fellow behind us was completely sloshed and also a heckler, so much was the noise. Much much much. It was actually really fun. And I managed to find out the whole point of the game and the way it worked during the first half hour, which was v. satisfying.
Mum: >_> He's trying to demasculate the batter with a ball.
Soujin: O_O
Little girl in front of us: Aw, man! Our teams' losing by two points.
Soujin: No, our team is winning by two points!
Dan: No, there are no real fights at this sort of baseball game.
Soujin: Unless someone told that guy to sit down and shut up... Then there could be a fight.
Dan: You did that? You were in a fight?
Soujin: No! I said--
Waen: When?
Waen tried to sleep through most of it, actually. She doesn't like baseball. Unfortunately, this greatly impaired her hearing, and as a result v. strange dialogues occurred.
Mum: I wouldn't want to be wearing a purple shirt here.
Soujin: Oh, well, I am.
Waen: What did you say?
Dan: I didn't say anything.
Mum: I wouldn't want to wear a purple shirt--
Waen: Who's wearing a purple shirt?
Dan: Julie's wearing one, isn't she?
Mum: I said, I wouldn't want to be wearing a purple shirt here!
Waen: ...Oh. But you're not! Julie is!
Mum: *headdesk*
Afterwards, there were fireworks. Hundreds of them. And they were big and gorgeous and I love fireworks and I had better go research them now, because I want to know if I can use them in fic. That would please me.
Anyway, I have dragged out all my old Fushigi Yuugi CDs and am listening to them. So nice. I am not ashamed of my J-pop love!
