Just remembered! Added more to Waen's site; a new painting on cloth; a new section for September's work; and this.

And, regarding that, Waen wants to know what the general opinion is. Which picture is best? It is the one she intends to use for her ad.

Am at the library again. Children's books are wonderful. Also, Waen got a Jules Verne treasury with fabulous illustrations. They are, according to the front cover flap, 'rare, exciting, 19th century engravings', and seem to be by about six different people, which explains the character design inconsistency that was confusing me at first.

They did the cumana picture! ^_____^ This makes me inexpressibly happy. Also, there's a picture of Passepartout escaping with the loss of his shoes. *squee* And Passepartout in the opium den, sitting on one chair and knocking another one around with his feet, which is so him. There is also a Twenty-Thousand Leagues one where Ned Land is lying down on the deck of the Nautilus looking at thingies in the water. How do I know it is Ned Land and not Aronnax? Because. He looks like Ned Land. :P

So, v. happy book. Have also gotten out "Lieutenant Hornblower" and "The Art of Cake-Making", as da's birthday is coming up and I have promised to make the cake.

I love the library.

Am wearing my hair a different way to-day. The other lady who volunteers said it makes me look very grown-up, and that makes me feel awfully good. *is silly*

Mmm. ^_^ I feel pretty to-day, though probably I am not. I'm wearing a white silk skirt and a white silk blouse, and the light blue palm tree scarf 'round my waist, and one of Waen's white scarves in my hair, and it feels pretty. I would wear the Mina outfit to-morrow, but I begin my acting classes, and God knows it's hard to do the sadistic theatre activities children's classes always have in skirts.

Da' is taking me to the Threepenny Opera, which [livejournal.com profile] sparklychibi's father is in! The Importance of Being Earnest is also playing in Mechanicsburg through September 26th (which is my lucky number). The Whittacker Centre is showing Pirates of Penzance, and Fulton Opera is doing Secret Garden. Wish I could see everything. There are so many books and plays in the world, but I have not got enough money or spare time!

Working on Fantine/Dahlia for [livejournal.com profile] elenlaurelin, but rather entranced by a fic idea for Javert; and really do want to write a Harbert fic. Have promised Waen I shall write it for her if she draws me more sketches of Pencroff/Ayrton.

Waen has begun the art classes they got her with her scholarship. I think she likes them, and her artwork is looking better than ever.

I want to make cakes. I've bookmarked all the ones I really want to make, and Da' would like the Chocolate Fortissimo with Tia Maria truffles, so I shall make that one September twenty-second. Besides that, the Bishop (we honestly don't know which or who he is, but Mum thinks not McNutt this time) is coming and someone saddled Susan with the Time of Fellowship, so I'll make Hazelnut Macaroon Cake and Piskota with Walnuts, except perhaps with pecans instead of walnuts.

Have lots of other things planned, as the Folks are coming up first week of October, and that counts as an Occasion. Waen wants me to make her chocolate-dipped butter cookies. Awfully excited about it, really.

It's raining all hell outside right now, so I'll post now before the power goes out and I lose all this.

We watched "The Ponder Heart" to-night. Da' says it is not like the book, but even if it isn't, I wish I were like Daniel Ponder. That is an aspiration.

I can't believe I start acting to-morrow. I just had a horrible thought: Kate used to go to Open Stage. Pray God she is not in my class.

Waen has found a joke book and keeps reading from it, as well as from Clipper of the Clouds. She seems very pleased. Am glad.

Am sure there is something I am forgetting, but of course cannot remember it. Wish me luck for to-morrow!

EDIT: From Clipper of the Clouds:

ROBUR: When I have just seriously stated a serious thing, I do not permit anyone to reply to me by flat denial, and I shall be glad to know the name of my interrupter.
JEM: My name is Chip, and I am a vegetarian!

...Yay non-sequitor!
