"The World Has Gone Insane..."
Oct. 20th, 2004 10:28 pmOkay, so. We had a mad fellow at Stoneybridge to-day; and he was not a resident. The residents are sweet and sane. This bloke was annoying.
He was come for a concert, which was good on the whole because the residents seem really to like concerts, but he was singing a variety of peculiar conservative Christian songs (on a electric guitar, goddammit), including the anti-evolution: "It's an insult to the monkeys, 'cause they don't abort their young... they don't rape and beat each other..."
Yeah. Like that. >_< I considered leaving the room, but due to the fact that I was pretty much the only volunteer among about thirty residents, realised this would be a good way to get killed. Also, the feedback from his microphone at the beginning had still freaked everyone out rather. It was loud and piercing and he couldn't seem to stop it and it went on and on and on, much like this sentence, until everyone had their hands over their ears, but he didn't seem to be reacting much. Typically, Soujin was Put Out.
But it was all over in an hour and things settled down again. >_>
And the Red Hat Society came! I got their card. *g* They said I could join and be a Pink Hat Member. Thought it would be rather fun, but realised another commitment is probably the last thing I need. >_<
Saw Anna to-day, though! She is the lovely loveliness. So is May. So that was all right, really, in the end. They both liked my gloves, which I wore on purpose for May because she says my hands were always cold.
