My computer just died for a long time, but now it lives again.
This morning we went to the Farm Show! ^_________^ It was very spiffyful, and there were Kindies (SQUEEE kitties kitties kitties!) and horses (which Soujin does not love) and chickens (one of which Soujin attempted to intimidate, but the opposite end was achieved; and one of which's every move Soujin attempted to copy, until Mum whacked her and dragged her amusedly away) and duckies(!) and cowses (aww...) and rabbitses (which Soujin also does not love, to some extent) and lots and lots and lots of childers (which Soujin DOES NOT LOVE. But some of them were sort of cute).
Also, there were pretty exhibits, and a lady let Soujin sew the three-hundred fifty-first stitch in her quilt which she was getting stiches for.
And there was a fellow who carved chickens out of twigs, and Soujin recognised his exhibit, yes she did! She went over and asked did he not teach a homeschool class how to make those very chickens some years ago. He said yes.
Then said Soujin, and do you not remember a girl who SLICED HER WHOLE FINGER OMG open with the knife while carving, causing a random boy-child to faint? And said the fellow, indeed I do!
Then said Soujin, THAT WAS ME! ^____^
And the fellow said, ha ha ha. Bye.
Not really. But Soujin told him that she still had her blood-stained chicken sitting on the windowsill at home, and he seemed pleased. Sort of. And his wife started ranting about how she is teh doctor, and she has never seen a woman faint at having blood drawn, but men, well, "they conquer the world, but a little blood, and--" she finished with an expressive dash.
Then Soujin went to work, and almost everybody was in good spirits, which was ever so lovely, and Bill F. the musician, who comes to play for my people, was for once not a COMPLETE and UTTER TWAT. Which usually he is. The last time he was here, he finished up with,--
"I hope I've brought a little sunshine into your day, since I know that you live in a nursing home and lead horrible lives. 'Bye, folks!"
Soujin finds it very difficult to love him.
Also, Soujin lost 1.6 pounds. GO HER! And she finished Wicked, too! It is a very hopeless book. It feels impossibly cruel and--just jarringly hopeless at the end. I want to write Boq!fic.
I have now begun Gulliver's Travels.
And Natalie mailed me Toulouse-Latrec stickers.
