*sighs lightly*

So, I just got a nice little letter in the mail informing me that I've won the youth poetry contest this year. Well, really, I'm awfully flattered and it's very kind of them and I'm going to appreciate my little medal awfully, only--only I've forgotten what poem I submitted.

Yes, that's Soujin for you. Won the contest, doesn't remember with what.

If I mentioned it here when I submitted, and anyone else remembers, please tell me. I know the short story I submitted was Hourglass, but I truly can't remember which poem I chose. H'm. I hope it was one of the good ones. I shall be awfully embarrassed if it was Ecology or something.

Perhaps it was Yellow Love-Note. I hope so.

Oh, dear.

I am writing Gulliver's Travels slash, by the way.

At the moment, I'm trying to find a good, early eighteenth-century way of saying 'I did what he asked of me, so he rewarded me with hot passionate smex of a sodomistic sort, and I was cool with it even though I think people are gross'. >_>

I am so going to hell. Typically, I'm just in time to reuse my Easter handbasket.

But first, the story must be finished! So let us back to work. Perhaps dictionary.com can assist...

Edit: Yes, that's right, little mood kitty. Wink like the little hell-bound whore thou art. Good heavens. -_-

Okay, it's done! Who wants to beta-read?

Gulliver/Don Pedro, PG-13, Gulliver's Travels, happy slashy slash. You know you want to.

Edit: *GASP* I remember now! I've recalled! I think I gave them Afterlife! I'm quite sure I did. I might be wrong, but...

Oh, good. That's one I needn't be embarrassed about. It's [livejournal.com profile] erinpuff's, and it's good. Yey. ^)^

Gulliver/Don Pedro. I am mad indeed.

Also? It is quite hard to take oneself seriously when one ends up having to use the word 'yahoo' in almost every paragraph.

The Thing Which is Not )

I cleaned the microwave to-day, oooh. It's amazing I'm still alive. *g*

Also found a recipe for banana-split ice cream that I'm sure Mum will love, so am saving for her birthday. Found a soup recipe Da' has promised to make for me.

At the library to-day, I actually caught a boy standing over a huge pile of disordered books on the floor, and finally had the courage to lay the smackdown.

'Pardon,' I said to him. 'Did those books fall there?'

'No,' said he.

'Did you take them out?'

'No.'

'Then how did they get on the floor, if you please?'

'My brother took them out,' the lad said, bold as brass.

'Oh,' returned I, rather flustered. 'Does he mean to check them out?'

'I think so.'

Attempting to get a hold of my dignity, I replied, 'Well, if he doesn't, see that they get put back.' Then I stalked off.

All my good intentions. Feh.

I got Mystery of Edwin Drood from the liberry, however. Not only have I procured it, but, verily, it is illustrated by Edward Gorey! I can hardly contain myself. Squee. ^_^

Also, pretty! )

I stoled it from [livejournal.com profile] rimusu.

...How time flies when one's having fun. It's already almost bedtime. I'm starting to feel that whole up-at-five thing. >_> To-morrow I sleep in until six-forty-five! Win!

So falling into bed now. I barely conscious. To-morrow, perhaps, shall try to accomplish more.

Puh, sleep. Please.

Snitched from [livejournal.com profile] settiai:

Off the top of your head, right now, what ten 'ships would you likely drop what you're doing to read fic for. Or, alternately, what are the top ten ships that you'll give a fic a chance for, or that you've been dying to write, or that you've been dying to read.... These can be new loves, old flames, or something in between. Explain if you like, but you don't have to. Then tell us 3 things these ships say about you.

One: Prouvaire/Grantaire:* I'm sorry, okay? It's my thing.
Two: Sebastian/Antonio:** [livejournal.com profile] lillieoz can attest to that. Their love is so nearly canon. It's Shakespearean. It has an E!/R twist. Oh, and it rocks above all things. Yes, absolutely.
Three: Gringoire/Frollo:** I am a bad, bad girl.
Four: Ishmael/Queequeg:** Canon is not exacting failing to support me in this, you know. You can't tell me it isn't so there.
Five: Ayrton/Pencroff:+ I can also make a list of ten reasons no one will ever write this for me. I: It's too obscure. II: It's mad because nobody else is logical. III: I've written it too many times myself. IV: No one else who has read canon writes it. &c. Blah. I'm grouchy. ^_^
Six: Hoffman/Nicklausse:+ Contrary to what you all think, I'm actually not trying to pick from all different fandoms. It just happens that my range of interests is wide. And they are cute. And Nicklausse is the only person that stands by Hoffman through all! *pose*
Seven: Jekyll/Lanyon: This is my OTP. You cannot dissuade me. Ever.
Eight: Jekyll/Nemo:*+ This is also my OTP. It is shiny. And so obvious. It's the fangirl slash, really. I like it that way. Mwahaha.
Nine: Colline/Schunard:+ Fluff. Fluffy fluff. Dancing fluffy fluff in the Latin Quarter which is also penniless and involves coats. There is nothing more to say.
Ten: (Already? I have so many favourite pairings!) Raoul/Erik:** It's so potentially creepy. Really. It can either be turned into mush and a fangirl slash, or it can be creepy and icky and subtexty and in need of psychiatry. And I'll like it that.

Three things this says about me: I: I am quite mad. II: I read too many obscure books. III: I am far too fond of slash for my own good.

Everyone already knew all of these things, though, so no snazzy revelation.

* = I've read this before
** = Not more than once
+ = I've written it
