I have... I have no idea where this came from. Probably it is [livejournal.com profile] tiamatschild's fault; she seems to be to blame for several of my stories recently. ^_~ Actually, I think I know what it is--it's le histoire de Harbert Brown, which I wanted to write so badly last year and which Waen forbade me from. It's been so long that I'm not sure she remembers, though, so I have dared.

And now, because the (three) TMI geeks on my flist actually wanted to see it (not), we present the prequel to The Mysterious Island:

I finally have a real excuse to use the icon.

Oh, oh, oh! I did get to go out! Everything was so beautiful and warm and sunny and wonderful, and I went out in the front pasture and lay down under a dogwood and read The Old Curiosity-Shop until I fell asleep. ^_____^ I was out for two hours. It was so wonderful. Soujin's little heart is full-up with outside joy.

Now the shadows are just starting, just barely, and the lawns are all streaked dark green and light green. The weeping cherry is about to bloom and the forsythia's out. We finally burned the bonfire in the lower pasture, and it went up like--like--h'm, my similes aren't in good form to-day. I'll come back to that.

The ground is all soft and squishy because of the new grass, and muddy in spots but not where I lay down. The trees are starting to get new leaves. Daddy's vegetable gardens, the big one and the little one, are being prepared for the fruits of the earth. *g*

Everything's so alive and growing and wonderful! I haven't been outside all winter. I hadn't seen any of this yet. I love it. I love it.

And I've gotten all pink and rumpled from sleeping in the sun and the grass. And I feel too glad to imagine. Ohhhh.
