"Now I Know it isn't Fair..."
May. 14th, 2005 10:47 amI seem to be alive. Not sure how well that's going to work out.
Yesterday, we went to the (horse) races in the evening, and met half a thousand people from church all of whom I was trying studiously to avoid; the 'rents and Waen betted excessively and lost consistently; The Mad Uncle, who showed up unexpectedly, had lots of wine and was sufficiently mellowed to hug me and tell me I was looking pretty; and there were strawberries.
To-day I'm fairly ill. I have a slight headache, feel nasty, and vague, and disoriented, and have a marathon six-hour acting rehearsal to leave for in about an hour and a half, and amn't ready for it at all. At this point, I've finally got my sixty-plus e-mail backlog taken care of, and I'm going to go take down N.'s letter again on stationery, since we've completed the drafts.
Kenzie is still ignoring all my attempts to contact her and get my Peter Lorre back.
I've got a bit of a twitch now, too. Funny.
Anyway, not feeling very good. Going to go away and do the things I need to and hover about near the WC while praying that severe illness doesn't set in. Waen and Mum not home; Daddy vacuuming loudly.
We'll see how things are by to-night.
