psalm_onethirtyone: (Secret Garden)
Dearest Manon,

I said I would be good and not post at 12:01. I have restrained myself precisely one hour and forty-eight minutes.

...I think my excuse is that you'll get to see this as soon as you get up and come online. So! ^_____^

I hope you have a wonderful, wonderful, wonderful happy birthday. I love you so much, and I already said most of what I wanted to say in the card, so it'll all be redundant to put it here again, but--to put it shortly, so as to avoid too much repetition--you're the most special, wonderful person, and I love you so, and I hope you are awfully, awfully happy to-day. <33333 Because you deserve it so much. You truly do.

You amazing woman, God. I am so lucky to know you.

I plan to celebrate your birthday by watching Moll Flanders and dying multiple deaths.

Also, here is your presentfic. ^___^

Soujin has had a lovely time with Waen and Mum. She has been to the coffee shop, been to the church to help arrange flowers, sat on a pew and finished Murder on the Links, which, by the way, has a quite unfairly misleading title, been to purchase flowers, to the store, and now is home again, ay.

And to bake a cake, and help Da' put up the apples.

Feeling rather quiet, rather happy.

Even wrote a page of Waen's Fix/Conseil, yay me.

Zara in one week! *delighted toecurl*

And now to shower, and to cake. I do so utterly and entirely love to bake cake.

Now I, personally, would not name a cat Raskolnikov.

Just a thing, yes? It would make me slightly nervous, for once thing. For another, well, I'd pick Andrei first. Perhaps Razumihin, although Razumihin is too much like Bossuet to suit a cat entirely.

But I certain wouldn't name a cute fluffy Persian kitten Raskolnikov. Heh.

Judging by google image search, however, the rest of the world does not the feel the same.

...Andrei's still better. Perhaps Dounia, if you truly wanted to. Or Lizaveta. Lizaveta might suit. Porfiry, even, just for a change. But Raskolnikov? Eh.

What I'd really, do, of course, is name the cat Kolya or Alyosha or Maximov or Liza, and scrap the whole dark schizophrenic crime drama altogether*.

*that may have been one of the stupidest things I've ever said, all things considered.

Waen's idea is best, though. Get the dog and name him Perezvon. Ici!

By the way, I still love Razumihin; but really, Kolya Krasotkin is the most splendid thing. I've dogeared more pages in this novel than any other I've read, I think.

Waen and I made the cake!

I ended up having to quadruple the recipe; and the frosting did not taste like chocolate, according to Waen, so we added ginger and cocoa powder and chocolate syrup and hot chocolate mix, and then it quite tasted like chocolate. ^________^ So we baked the cakes and they were uneven, so we cut the tops off to even them out; and there was leftover frosting, so we mixed the leftover cake with the leftover frosting and sang Cakes and Ale from Illyria quite a lot. Forgetting the words. And having really the most splendid time imagineable.

And Waen made a star out of candied ginger to put on top, and it is beautiful.

And now I settle me down to watch Moll Flanders, at long, long last.

OMG ZARA AND FLORIAN. I am going to work quite hard to restrain myself. Then again, maybe I won't restrain myself. Either way, my Westmark socken are in for one hell of a ride... ^__^

Ta!
