"Look, Gertrude! I Set it Right..."
Sep. 10th, 2005 03:56 pmEeeeeeee. Eeeeeeeeeee.
*points* We're calling that a good start. Yes. Um. ZARA IS HERE. You know, sitting right next to me and laughing at me eeeeeeeeness and OMG RIGHT THERE here. Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.
Okay. Eee. Wow. Deep breath, indeed. Speechless.
....
*thrusts the keyboard at Zara*
Um. Hi. *waves* I'm Zara. Not the one in Soujin's head, though. So don't worry. Er. If you were.
OMG HAMLET SNAILS! Zara, tell them! *hides*
Well. We bought Hamlet snails! They are snails, you see, and slow. And possibly indecisive. Like Hamlet. We have five large snails and four babies(!). The large ones are named Hamlet (who has an algae afro), Ophelia (who has foofy algae in her 'hair'), Gertrude, Claudius, and Horatio (who has a baby!).
Yes. Horatio has a baby. Because he's so, you know, motherly. >_> The baby is Laertes. There are also two little snails that are Rosencrantz and Guildenstern (the Rosencrantz one rather wanders all over the place, and the Guildenstern one follows at a safe distance); and the very last little one iiiis... Polonius or Osric or Fortinbras; the question's still being debated. The question being 'to be Osric, or not to be Osric... or possibly to be Polonius'. At any rate, whatever the question, we've just been and put them in!
We ended up switching their identities, as Ophelia fell off a lily pad and was never seen again. Therefore, Hamlet and Horatio were placed into the same corner. Gertrude and Claudius had their own little incestuous corner of the pond as well. At the end of this endeavor, Horatio was the only snail still above water. We find this rather fitting.
As we threw in Ros!snail and Guil!snail, Soujin, being excessively silly, cried out, 'We'll see you around! We'll see you around!', which, by striking coincidence, or perhaps not, happens to be the song we are presently listening to. ^_^ Much with the appropriate, yes? Oh, yes! There was also a Catfish.
A catfish of adorable, of course! We felt that it needed a name, as all proper catfish do. Upon closer inspection, this catfish had a funny nose, and so the choice was obvious: Cyrano the catfish! He is now in the pond with the Hamlet!snails.
...EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE. Also, this morning? We made pancakes. ^____________^ We made an Epimetheus pancake, with every colour of sprinkle!!!11!@!!!!!!!! ^___________________^!!!!!!1!!!!!1! Every colour!! And it was REALLY BIG!!! And it was SO COOL!!!1! And we ATE IT!!! ^___________^ Also, we made lots of other pancakes with coloured sprinkles, and the very last, lone pancake was the Horatio pancake, because it was the only one left. But then we ate that one, too, so... Alas, poor Horatio? A good deal of the pancakes died, so we fed the horses then after breakfast. ^_^
Oh! Oh! By the way, it was only when we got back to the car and took a closer look at the snails that we realised that Horatio had a baby! This resulted in much laughter and... and Soujin's most wonderful mother saying "It must be Hamlet's!" We think she may now be an honourary member of fandom. ...but anyway! We went out for ice cream before returning home; Soujin, being evil, denied Horatio any sort of choice in the ice cream flavour selection process, but I, being nice (of course!), let Alice run wild. Though not too wild, as she was practically jumping up and down. I think she finally chose raspberry... and I'm not sure if I should blame the chocolate on Danish Spice or myself.
I am NOT EVIL. Horatio likes teaberry. Bah. Evil. We let Epi pick, because he has far better taste. Strawberry and chocolate pretzel. Much better. I mean, really. Teaberry. But yes, yes, much eeeeeee. And then to-night we're going to watch Ros and Guil are Dead, and maybe also Olivier!Hamlet, and I am going to make Zara listen to Bing Crosby and Ella Fitzgerald, because it is TRAVESTY that she does not know them! Travesty, I say!
I'mRosencrantz Zara!
I'mGuildenstern Soujin! (^_^)
WE'LL SEE YOU AROUND!
