Dorothy doesn't usually come out of her room at all ever, but to-day they were cleaning her room, so she came out. One of the nurses brought her down to the sunroom, where we have Bingo. And she said she hated it, and she wasn't going to play, but then after a bit she leaned across the table and started helping Mary.
Mary has a lot of trouble with Bingo because she can't see very well, but usually when people try to help her she gets angry and bats at their hands and just doesn't like it. But she let Dorothy help her. She kept saying, "All right, that's your part of the card, you take care of that part for me," and Dorothy kept saying back,--
"No, it's not. I don't play. B6, right there."
And Mary said Thank you.
Mary won five games and nearly won blackout, and Dorothy stayed almost until the end, and then she wanted to go back to her room, but it was so wonderful. Mary hardly ever wins, and it's a little discouraging for her. But they were perfect together.
Meanwhile, there's an eating disorder support group at Pinnacle that's not half as faraway or expensive as the one at the Hershey clinic, so I will probably go there instead. That takes one doctor's visit out of my schedule of four for this week. I still have one with Dr. Levine on Wednesday and with Marie and Dr. Conti on Thursday. Some days I feel like I'm still in a box. I couldn't bear to eat to-day until dinner, and then I ate too much.
I did, however, explain to Daddy that when he comments on how much I'm eating, it makes me want to hide in a hole and never eat again, and Daddy said he understood, and he wouldn't say anything else like, 'You're really demolishing that chicken'. Which I. rather. appreciate. Oh, dear.
Soujin: Hi, Curtis! ^__^
Curtis: Hi! ^__^
Soujin: How are you? ^__^
Curtis: FUCKING BAD.
Soujin: ... Oh. *hides in the kitchen behind the man from Dietary*
Also, Mary(adifferentMarywehavefour)'s trach came out. And I was all *flurrypanic!*, but the LPN was all, Calm down, calm down. Hey, RN, Mary's trach is out!, and Soujin was all, omgomgomg, and the LPN was all, ...She's going to put it back in. Chill, kid.
But actually, work-wise, to-day was really good. ^_^ And I have silly things to send to people. I shall have to do that to-morrow. If I don't have to go to the clinic to-morrow, I can stay home all day, which would be so nice. I would do my schoolwork in a leisurely manner for once, and read a lot, and maybe sleep in to eight-thirty again, which would be nice.
...I kind of fail at writing, though. Not letters; I wrote ten or eleven over the weekend. But fics and poems? Yes. Very much.
But Mum and Waen bought me a shiny blue necklace and a little tiny toffee that I cannot eat but I will look at and love, and they bought flower-shaped muffin pans, and beautiful almond extract, and I am very glad about all that.
Also, I pwn the passive conjugation.
