psalm_onethirtyone: (Soujin's People [made by male_chan])
*curls up* Soujin is sleepy and needs a lullabye and some pretty dreams, because her dreams haven't been pretty lately, and she hasn't slept well, either. And she needs somebody to sing her good-night.

But my people--oh, my beautiful, my beautiful people. Kathy had her knee surgery, and it went okay, it really did, although they hurt her in the hospital (expletives--step the bloody hell off my Kathy); so she's going to be back to therapy and I think she's really glad to be back with us. She didn't like the hospital.

And Eleanor took care; she promised she take care and eat, and she took care, anyway, and I gave her her necklace and she loved it, and made me put it on, and went around the rest of the day saying to me, 'Look at this necklace! A very sweet girl I know gave me this necklace! Isn't it pretty?', and--oh, Eleanor. <33333 She said she was so happy to have me back, and I hugged her and kissed her and sat next to her at Bingo, and we were immature and made faces at each other and she pretended to bite me and wallop me in the nose for putting chips on her cards when she didn't notice that the number had been called; and other dreadful things I do to make her life miserable.

Katy was okay, and Joan was okay, and she thanked me for lighting the candle for her at Salisbury. <3 She's going in for her surgery on the thirtieth, so it's kind of exciting and kind of scary. Her husband is awfully nice, though, and stays with her all the time, and I think she loves her new roommate since Dorothy left, so that's good. Joan's a love.

Charlie was thrilled at his photograph of the changing of the guards. He made me tape it up on his wall and kept squeeing in a Charlie kind of way, which involves stomping his feet and swinging his arms and going 'ohhhh! ohhhh!'. ^____^ I adore Charlie so much. And he told me about his father watching girls on train platforms to try to get a look at their ankles.

Anna was okay when I went to see her and bring her her lunch, and then when I went in later, around three-thirty, she'd just had another mini-stroke, and I got scared and ran for the nurse, even though I'm not allowed to run, gah, and the nurse was all, 'oh, sweetheart, would you just calm down? It's okay. It happens all the time' ... but it's never happened in front of me, you see. I know she gets them all the time, but I've never seen her get one. And it was frightening. My beautiful Anna. I'm going to see her Wednesday absolutely.

And Rosie was all, 'oh, me? I'm fine, I've been fine since you left, I just fell and hit my head and there's an infected cut and they're putting antibiotics on it, but it's fine, and I'm fine, so don't worry about anything. ^_______^', which just made me go BUH. ROSIE.

I need to see Herbert and Mary and Helen and Verna properly Wednesday; and everybody wanted to see trip photographs, so I promised to bring in the album. Oh, and Oscar is still here. >:( Oscar needs to go home to his darling of a wife and stay there. Or I will take DRASTIC MEASURES, which probably involve hugging him, wibbling, and telling him to take care of his blood sugar. He's as bad as Eleanor, sweartoGod.

Meanwhile, one of our assistant directors quit and the other one developed a skin cancer, which she's just had removed, so she can't do any heavy lifting and yet SHE'S DOING IT ANYWAY. Every one in that facility, whether or not s/he's actually a resident, is going to make me go mad with fretting. AGGA.

Apart from that, I would just as soon not have had this day. But that was worth a lot. <33 And to-morrow I get to clean ALL DAY! ^__________________^ So that will be perfectly lovely.
