SOUJIN: Bzuhhh, sleepy--
SOUJIN'S CLOCK: HEY GUESS WHAT? YOU HAVE TEN MINUTES TO GET TO CHEM! :D :D :D
SOUJIN: ...omgwtfbbq I'm dead.
SOUJIN'S CLOCK: Hurry hurry hurry, little mouse! Boy, isn't this a great way to start the day?
DADDY'S CLOCK: Hey, baby. Good to see you this morning. Did you know that you have an hour and ten minutes to get to chem?
SOUJIN: ...
SOUJIN'S CLOCK: O:D Adrenaline is good for you.
SOUJIN: ...
SOUJIN'S CLOCK: ...Don't break me?
SOUJIN: Ohhhh, you--
So, yes. Turns out I'd forgotten to set my clock for daylight savings ending. iFail.
Chem was okay. Well, okay, "okay" is sort of a charitable description. I failed my quiz. XD Completely failed it. She said I can retake it next week, though, so that's what I'll be doing.
Aaand on the way back I biked over to the trading post and bought salt water taffy for a certain ladyofmyheart. One down, two to go.
Work, work went pretty well. I was putting up calenders, so I got to talk to just about everybody. Don got his gallbladder removed and his lungs drained, as well as his staples taken out; but he says it hurt, so now Katy is afraid to get hers taken out. She said it hurts all the time, but she's scared the surgery will hurt more. I cuddled her and told her it might be worth doing anyway.
And Anna is doing really well; Emilie is much better, for which I am immensely thankful. She's walking around now, and has her sense of optimism back, which has to be good for her. I got Ken's oxygen hooked up for him, and he made a ^___^ face at me. Talked briefly with Mary, hung out with Gayle for a while, talked to Lillian, fed Harry (Harry is being nice to me again!), cuddled Eleanor, got yelled at by Irma (XD she was having a bad day to-day. it was unfortunate), talked with Rosie and Betty and Dick and Bertha and Dot and Edward and Charles and Bill and Linda S. and Alberta and Rhoda and John-Mathieu and Diane and Louise and Blanche and Bobby (kissed Bobby--I love him so much). Dot is going home on Saturday! Everybody was excited about Hallowe'en to-morrow; we have a 'safe trick-or-treat night' for kids under ten, and my people get a tonne of candy and hand it out to the kids and squee over their costumes and generally have a great time. I went last year, and I'm going this year, but I need to get a different costume, because Linda says there is too much blood in what I wore to-night. So--quick giez, what can I make at home rilly easily for to-morrow at five?
(And on the way out, I stole a tabloid off the break room table, so that's two down and one to go.)
Then Waen and I went trick-or-treating here. It's sort of sad--probably fewer than half the people who usually do it were doing it this year. It was all fairly half-hearted. But we went down to the apartments and on Front Street--on Front Street we went all the way down and found this poor couple who were so far that nobody had come to them, so they gave us a great deal of candy. XD And I only made us go down there because there was a man living in their house once who told me when I was little that he'd always buy Girl Scout cookies from me. He had a puppy. That's all I remember. Aaaaand we got to see Lou at the church, where they were giving out shaped rice krispies treats, which Waen is in love with. A few people even got my costume. Picspam is coming to-morrow, incidentally.
BUT ZARA. OMG. Somebody, God only knows who, gave me skull lollipops. Yes. They are shaped like skulls. I'm thrilled. I also got two marshmallow eyeballs. :D :D :D
No religious tracts this year, though. Usually we get about five between us, but this year they were foregone, for some reason. In any case. We got home, we divvied our plunder up into keeping and giving away, and we did some trading, and now I am prepared to live solely on sugar for the rest of the week. >:D
So that was my exciting day. To-morrow is work!Hallowe'en, Wednesday is library. :D On Thursday I need to buy broccoli. On Friday--it's Friday I'm in love. Three days. It makes my toes tingle.
