"Heart's Gonna Stray..."

Y helo. I have just gotten back from seeing the Decemberists. :D

Which was unexpected, to say the least. There I was, innocently cleaning house, when the telephone rang and sparklychibi went OMG EXTRA TICKET WANT TO COME? ^_^ and Soujin answers OMG OMG OMG ARE YOU TOTALLY SERIOUS? and Taira said Y YES I AM. So went careering off to Messiah just in time, was helped to find the right building by incredibly sweet and v. overworked caterer, and met Taira there and omg the Decemberists!

Who were shiny and silly and very awesome, and very, very loud. I ended up putting chewing gum in my ears (had nothing else remotely like earplugs. yay inventiveness). >_> As it is I still think I lost cells. But! It was amazing. And their lighting was amazing and cracktastic. And they played The Tain, which lasted for-ever, and The Crane Wife, and many other songs but not Sons and Daughters, despite my writing 'PLAY SONS AND DAUGHTERS OMG ♥' on a piece of paper and putting it inside my empty water bottle and throwing it onstage. :D Someone threw a bra at them, and they went OMG WHAT. Colin Meloy said I THOUGHT THIS WAS A CHRISTIAN COLLEGE!.

So on the whole it was very crazy and delightful. And Taira pwns my heart for for-ever, as she well knows, to do with as she likes.
