My dad always listened to Jim Croce when I was growing up (mostly the "Don't Mess Around with Jim" sort of songs), but I like the slower, more melancholy ones like "Box 10" and "Operator." The other ones are fun, but the sadder ones please me more.
He just had such a good grasp on simple story-telling of the things that happen in life to regular people.
