Well, it makes sense that it'd be the bathroom. Either that or the bedroom. There's more bare flesh to entice vampires there, and you certainly wouldn't find them in the kitchen. And you couldn't exactly rely on the mirror to see them coming, since vampires don't seem to have learnt yet that mirrors are supposed to reflect.
