he really is -- in the proper, philosophical sense of the word: question everything. and he's a bit of a critic, too, but that's not -- it's more like a theater or a literary critic. he looks at the world and tries to judge it, understand it, and it's not understanding that irritates him so -- that makes him snap and accuse the world and people of being too shallow, too inconsistent (butitoughttomakesensereallyitought). but i'm babbling. and oh -- um.
