One of my friends went through something during first year where she was sick of all compliments on beauty. And really, some days it just seems like a worthless quality. Yes, attractiveness, sexuality, but it doesn't and shouldn't convey worth of a person. Annoyingly enough, if you fulfill beauty standards, you will get hired and people will feel more welcome to talk to you ... but it really, really shouldn't matter so much. And yet a woman's worth is tied so closely to her physical features.... It makes me so happy to go to a woman's college.
