The protest was so incredibly beautiful. Mum and da', who were extremely reluctant to come, agreed upon this as well. They showed the documentary "Jim in Bold", which was lovely, and I... I met my very first crossdresser! ^_^ And he was really nice. I was getting lost in the church, and I thought he was a woman, because he had longish blonde hair and earrings and pink blouse and he looked like a woman and he asked me if I was lost. And then it became apparent he was not a woman. I said I was, and he pointed the way to me.

There was one of the picketers across the street, and he was screaming insults at everyone, which was unpleasant. >_>

By the time the documentary was over and things, there were about twelve police cars and people were putting up yellow tape, and Mum got worried, so we went home. We'd been inside, and the picketers were setting things up apparently. Gnah.

Also, all the gay guys on the documentary were really adorable. ^_^

Again, there is irony in having fun with protesting, but it is for good causes--and it sounds handsome too!

It sounds splendid. Hurray for you and your parents that you went.

As a small point of etiquette, it is polite to refer to someone who is cross-dressing by the pronouns that fit the garments/gender presentation. This is because if they are making an effort, so should we, or some such thing.

Yay protesting! I want to protest something.

And what [livejournal.com profile] petronelle said about gender pronouns.

O! I feel horrifically guilty for missing it! *shame shame guilt guilt* But, oh, it was Crucible Roadtrip Day! That's not just a pathetic excuse, is it? It was female van bonding! ><.
