"Anybody Here Seen My Old Friend Martin?"

Well. Have made a pound cake for Mothers' day, but am not sure how it will turn out, so as a backup, have also made a Devil's Food Cake. I have never made either before. I happen to have the unfortunate dilemma of loving to bake and not liking cake all that much.

The pound cake will be garnished with strawberries, which I still have to prepare, and the Devil's Food Cake--can one ice a Devil's Food Cake? Oh, dear.

Should I just stay up all right? I might not survive Carmen if I do. On the other hand, I'll only get four hours or less of sleep if I do go to bed, and if I stay up another hour or so, I can take my medications which I missed to-day.

Gnnh. I normally adore this time of night, but I got up too early.

Now I must go check on my cakes. O_O *scurries off*

One has to ice a devil's food cake. With either really dark chocolate or vanilla frosting. I prefer chocolate, but that's just me.

::sniffle:: I should have done something for my mom. But alas, I was selfish and went to the movies by myself. Well, it was only because she didn't want to do anything with me and my brother. We were supposed to go into the city but my brother didn't want to, and so we ended up not going. ::deep breath:: So. Yes.

*snugs* So maybe she wanted a day off without doing anything. And if not, you can do something special for her in a week or so when she really needs it.

Cakes so nice to maaake. I need to move in with someone who would like me making cake for him/her.
