"Always Ten Steps Behind..."

Carmen was loud. I really do not like loud things. I got a headache at the beginning of the second act, and still have it now. The sets were gorgeous, though. And I don't like Don Jose. I really cannot bear three-and-a-half hours of someone being that stupid. -_- I liked Escamillo, though, and Micaela's actress was splendiferous. Also, she broke something, so she performed the part hobbling around with a cane. It looked perfect. It looked like part of Micaela's character description.
And then Da' and I went to a sleazy Chinese joint! It was great! I had mashed potatoes and teriyaki.
petronelle, I need to catch you! *wibbles* This fic must be finished by the eleventh, and I don't know what to do...
Also, I dropped my Into the Woods CD and half-broke it. It's fuzzy now.
And I started The Invisible Man. Why yes, my current reading list comes from League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. I happen to have a guilty pleasure in that movie.
But to-night I am highly distracted and unhappy in various ways, despite delighting in other various things, and it's raining hell here, so the connection is even worse than usual, and I don't think I have the patience to deal with it, so I'm likely going to get off early and go to bed with a pillow over my head to drown out six dogs fighting.
I have a terrible sore throat, too.
