To-day I put on my shoe. Two minutes later, I realised something was wriggling inside it. Two seconds later, I was tearing off my shoe and bleeding. *pauses dramatically* Okay, fine, so there wasn't that much blood. At any rate, the exciting climax--

I had been bitten by a spider.

There was a lot of noise, and my toe turned red, and da' asked should I go to the emergency room, and Mum went and got the book of poisonous spiders of PA, but five minutes later I was suffering no real pain anywhere besides the little bite on my toe, which was no worse than the two pieces of glass I stepped on yesterday, so I went and played tennis anyway. Mum thinks it was a wolf spider.

Also, I called Kinkora Nusing Home and I'm to call again on Monday to see about volunteering.

I guess I was just thinking about how lonely it must be to be in a nursing home, and I thought maybe the people would like having a young person voluntarily doing work and being there. So I'm going to get a summer occupation at a nursing home. Yes.

It's arguable how long it will take me to regret this decision.

So my copy of Dorian Gray informs me that there is a different, completely unedited edition of Dorian Gray that has "more homosexual subtext", to which I can only say, how? How can there possibly be more subtext in that book? Lord Henry could outright seduce Dorian, or Basil proclaim undying love, but that's not subtext.

Now, where is this edition and how soon can I get it, I wonder?

There is a huge chunk of you that I don't even have a clue about your first name. I don't know how old a lot of you are, or where you live, or basic normal things. This is the problem with LJ, we all think we are so close, and we know nothing about each other.

So, I'm going to rectify it.

I want you to ask me something you think you should know about me. Something that should be obvious, but you have no idea about. I promise, I will not make fun of you. Ask more than one thing if you want.

I then invite you to do the same. Remember, seriously basic stupid questions, don't be embarrassed, you would be really shocked what I don't know about you.
