psalm_onethirtyone: (Thoughts [made by Waen])
So, I am considering writing Nemo fic. Yes. About Polish!Nemo.

Because I don't have enough responsibilities this month before NaNoWriMo, and because I didn't take the week off. Yes. Indeed.

But, see, it works! Because Nemo was originally Polish, and that's why he's described as being pale-skinned and emphatically-not-Indian-looking in Twenty-Thousand Leagues! So it makes sense! Sort of.

I am also making a fannish ramble in my head about LoEG and LXG. The four characters to be carried over--Captain Nemo; Allan Quatermain; Mina Murray/Harker; and Jekyll/Hyde--all have children, in a way. Nemo has two children who were killed; Quatermain had a son whom he lost, though I know no details on that, since said son was alive in King Solomon's Mines; Mina Murray would have lost Quincey, whereas Mina Harker would have outlived him (although, without details, one may do whatever one likes); and I have always read Jekyll and Hyde like a father-son relationship, because I am just that crazy. See Whisper Words for details. If one considers all these things to be true, then coincidence much?

I want to read into it too much and write about it, although I fear greatly that it would be gratuitous, considering that I've touched it in both Another Adventure and Granite and Rainbow. Why yes, I am pimping myself shamelessly. :)

Nevertheless. I find it rather interesting. Snnnh.

Still want to write that Nemo fic...

The greatest, greatest thing happened to-day in acting.

We were put into pairs and asked to choose two characters with an antagonistic relationship (therefore creating a conflict), and Derek and I were Jekyll and Hyde! *squees* Derek is the brilliantest, splendidest, most magnificent male personage I know, despite his being virtually the only male personage I know. He's brilliant. He's magnificent. He was Mr. bloody Hyde, and he's never even read the book. He only knows the basic premise. <3 <3 <3

So, I was only permitted to say "Right" and Derek could only say "I don't think so", so we decided it was directly before a transformation, and I was trying to convince myself to stop and he was objecting Hydishly.

Then, we went out and I went back and forth saying Right and he ran and hopped and jumped around me growling I don't think so and we never made eye contact but I kept putting my hands over my eyes and he kept stamping or pounding the ground and getting so close he was almost attacking me--it was perfect. I was truly shaking by the end, and had to hold on to a chair to stay upright.

And everyone else, who had not been told who we were, in the discussion said they'd thought Derek was something inside my head, that he was trying to convince me of something that I was refusing. Before they even knew.

Pure dead magic.

Then Janet decided we should all read The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde for class, because it might help us with our play and at any rate it's only sixty-eight pages. That is exciting.

Also, Harold and I both like Ragtime, so he kept singing it at me all through class. He is not really an instructor, but he always watches the class and participates rather. He was one of Janet's old students.

I love this class so entirely much. Am dreadfully happy.

I have icon space now! I have fifty icon slots! *dances*

Now, I need icons. *nods firmly* This will be fun, assuming I don't make an ass of myself.

*squees* But I'm excited! I will finally get to take people up on it when they say I may steal their icons! I can bother going to icon places! The world is mine!

Bwaha. Hahaha. Ha HA.

I finally have inspiration to write the LXG Seal Fic of Doom. Being as it is that I've joined the ficathon, of course I'm getting motivated to work on every single fic I've been procrastinating on the last four months. I've got them all written down. Altogether, there're seven items. I can finish them all before November first, yes?

I'm doomed...

You know that you're far too obsessed with Jekyll and Hyde...

...when every single bloody time you type 'hide' you have to retype, because you've accidentally typed 'hyde' the first time.

Also, too obsessed with Les Miserables = typing "enjolras" instead of "enjoy".

I am pathetic. *g*
