[livejournal.com profile] lillieoz! I finally saw Hunchback II! It was just as completely cracked-out and bad as we'd hoped; I only wish you had been there. The archvillain type wore lipstick and a corset and was exceedingly disturbing, and was also trying to steal one of the bells of Notre-Dame, which rather made Soujin gabble and squeak,--

"But--but--a bell?"

Surely Cathedrals have much better treasures that bells. Also, 'twas absurd that anyone could ever have gotten Quasimodo out of Notre-Dame for the purpose of taking one of his beloved bells. He wouldn't. Ever.

The girl was very adorable, though. Her design was quite nice.

You know, it really rather bothers me that the Disney designs have gotten so smooth recently. They used to look drawn and sketchy sometimes, and now they look so fluid and computer-generated, and I liked the better before. I think the animation was best when they first began to do it. Buh. At any rate, Madellaine (with two lls) was sweet, even despite that.

O_o I never realised the old gargoyle was female. I am rather pleased, but quite surprised.

But it says something about the overall characterisation that by the end my favourite character was Phoebus. I mean, really. Phoebus. He was the only sensible one at all, and had some fairly good lines.

The songs were disappointing. *pulls faces* The ones from the first film were much better.

I'm a little surprised I've managed to ramble about this. In any event, now I want to purify myself again by writing Esmeralda/Fleur-de-lys or Gringoire/Frollo or something.

The tree outside my window is blooming! It's terribly pretty.

*wibbles* Cramps omgwtf. I angst.

N. has stationery now! It's beautiful, and it was awfully expensive, and he's very pleased; so we'll be able to send off A.'s letter in the mails by Monday. We're both glad, I think.

I need to type up Waen's 1776 slashfic, and I need to copy CDs. Luckily, since the mails don't go on Sundays, I don't need to panic about getting everything ready. ^^ Which is good, because my time ran away from me to-day.

I SO KNEW Rochester spoilers ).

The birthday calender must change again!

Speaking of birthdays, I did move mine! It's going to be on May twenty-sixth now, which is so nice. It's my special number, and it means we'll have time for it, and everything won't be hellish, and I'm very, very glad. I didn't want everyone to have to worry about fitting it in with the other hundred things that were happening on the old day. This is much better.

We're going to go out for dinner. O_O Eep. Surprised.

I want a floppy stuffed elephant, but in spirit. ^_^ Will somebody draw me one? I'm making all sorts of demands to-day, and it's not at all good of me. I need to be more generous. Even if it's only an elephant.

The thing I really like about Da' is he knows so much about operas and music and that. And he understands about how I feel when I don't have the right word, and he helps me guess until I've got the one I want, and that makes me not have to be upset anymore, because I always feel squashed inside my head when I can't get the right word. And he knows all the old films and music and things, so when I talk about them he knows exactly what I mean. I wouldn't like it if my father were only thirty. He's best sixty-three. He understands things. <3 I love him so much.

Mum bought an organic pineapple to-day! And vanilla tea!

I feel so Rosencrantz...
