The joy of working at the library is looking futilely for the Patrick O'Brian books and not finding any, before realising we have the entire collection in LP. Of course, I can't read LP because it distracts me too much.

The more especial part of this joy is finding where the LP collection is because one of the books (Far Side of the World, to be specific) was shelved in the NON-FIC Opera section. O_o People, if you cannot remember where the book goes, bring it to the desk and I'll shelve it. And I won't be annoyed, promise. I'll be glad because you didn't put it in the Opera section.

I've nineteen books out presently. I must find one more to make the even twenty.

To-morrow we leave again.

I think I have distorted body image. I think it's a problem.

Into the Woods was beautifully done, and I cried all through the second act after Rapunzel died. She was a lovely girl, with beautiful eyes, but not so good a singer as she might have been. Kali will be better. Cinderella was wonderful, the Witch was not. But I idolise Bernadette Peters.

I just realised that our copy of Into the Woods is a bootleg of the Broadway production. That didn't occur to me before. Mm.

The eyes, they still burn, and I am tireder than I would like to be. It's been better not to be around; I've been able to sleep more. The trouble is I get lonely. I can manage without sleep, but not without talk.

When I get home, I'll post Zara&Soujin!pictures.

Also, will be gone for a week, starting to-morrow morning at early. Will attempt to write letters and get some of them cleared away...

Dear Miss Kali, whose birthday I shall miss: I love you madly. I have a shiny birthday card here for you, which I am going to send to-morrow, but apart from all the sentiments I shall spill over into said card, I love you. And you are wonderful, and talented, and clever, and brilliant, and make my head spin with joy.

Here are your gifts, early because I shall have no other time to give them:

Laertes/Mickle as a fic, and five photofics from your list.

Happy Birthday, you most excellent creature. <3 Many happy returns.

Nanni, here with do I also have a shinyshiny card for you, and a gift, but I shall miss your birthday as well, and I have not finished your fic yet. Pray forgive me.

...Oh, wait, I shan't! Oh, brilliant. Yay. Then I still have time to finish it! Oh, lovely.

Bought to-day a copy of Hamlet, for I've lost mine, and a copy of Raffles: Amateur Cracksman, because it was only a dollar ninety-nine and I am getting steadily more intrigued. Also from the library checked out a book of short murder mysteries based on Shakespeare plays, including Lear, Othello, Hamlet, Twelfth Night, A Winter's Tale, The Tempest, and Much Ado About Nothing. Having seen and read all of said plays I am entirely fascinated. Bwee.

Mum bought me more hairpins; I have lost several since we got home. Gracious. Also bought me a shirt, although there was no need to, because it had a pair of sandals printed on the front and said 'not all who wander are lost', but it didn't come in her size so she got it for me.

I need to go wrap Daddy's birthday present, and pack, which will not be so difficult, since I haven't unpacked since I went away last. And I must get Miss Kylee's present ready to send, yes, yes, and collect envelopes and all the addresses and all the unfinished letters and letters to which I am replying. Must also get all the books together. Loads of books...

Augh, I'm tired. I shall sleep all day to-morrow in the auto. Augh.
