"So I Bundled My Heart..."

The joy of working at the library is looking futilely for the Patrick O'Brian books and not finding any, before realising we have the entire collection in LP. Of course, I can't read LP because it distracts me too much.
The more especial part of this joy is finding where the LP collection is because one of the books (Far Side of the World, to be specific) was shelved in the NON-FIC Opera section. O_o People, if you cannot remember where the book goes, bring it to the desk and I'll shelve it. And I won't be annoyed, promise. I'll be glad because you didn't put it in the Opera section.
I've nineteen books out presently. I must find one more to make the even twenty.
To-morrow we leave again.
I think I have distorted body image. I think it's a problem.
Into the Woods was beautifully done, and I cried all through the second act after Rapunzel died. She was a lovely girl, with beautiful eyes, but not so good a singer as she might have been. Kali will be better. Cinderella was wonderful, the Witch was not. But I idolise Bernadette Peters.
I just realised that our copy of Into the Woods is a bootleg of the Broadway production. That didn't occur to me before. Mm.
The eyes, they still burn, and I am tireder than I would like to be. It's been better not to be around; I've been able to sleep more. The trouble is I get lonely. I can manage without sleep, but not without talk.
When I get home, I'll post Zara&Soujin!pictures.

Date: 2005-09-16 08:14 pm (UTC)Don't be lonely! Would you like me to phone? I had considered it, when you were not heard from at all yesterday, but... I did not want to impose if you did not wish to talk. *hugs* I miss you already.
Do you like sunflowers? I was walking down Fifth Avenue this afternoon, and I passed the flower vendor that is always by the hospital's bus stop. I noticed that he had a large bundle of tall, beautiful sunflowers, and suddenly, for some reason, all I wanted was for this to be last Friday, so that I could pick a sunflower and bring it to you.

Date: 2005-09-27 05:34 pm (UTC)It's all right--I'm sorry. That was all a very silly thing and I am not going to let it happen again. or at least not for another couple of months. *bad*
Oh. Oh. *cries* Oh. I--I love sunflowers, I-- you're too good to me

Date: 2005-09-27 05:52 pm (UTC)Silly is all right-- if it was silly, which is not a given.
*flails and hugs* Don't cry. Crying = bad. The sunflowers are gone by now, but. But if you do come in the spring-- ...well, we'll see, won't we? Not possible.

Date: 2005-09-27 07:33 pm (UTC)I only cry because I'm so happy...! Oh. I shall come in Spring. Very much so.

Date: 2005-09-27 09:52 pm (UTC)Well, happy is good, but...! Then you shall get flowers. Of some sort. Perhaps not sunflowers...

Date: 2005-09-16 10:19 pm (UTC)...Opera. o__O The mind boggles. I am guilty of putting library books back in probably the wrong place, but I know for a fact that it's always in the right section at least.
Seriously, what time can I call you? I don't want to keep you up when the whole point is for you to get more sleep, but I am not sure of your schedule.

Date: 2005-09-27 05:43 pm (UTC)I know! It's just--that's utterly silly, I think. I have no idea what goes through people's heads sometimes, really I don't.
My schedule is insane, and seems to involve large numbers of activities every single night (and day) of the week. O_o Why, I do not know. I don't think I have a free day until Saturday, or possibly next Tuesday.
