"They'll Be Waiting at the Lab..."
Jan. 5th, 2010 10:59 pmHere's a fun one for all you psychology majors out there. For the last six months or so I have been having a recurring nightmare where I can't lock my door. The other details kind of vary, or fuzz out so that I can't remember them later, but I always need need to get the door locked and the lock won't work.
It bothers me so much that I've been testing the lock in real life to make sure it's still functional, which it is. So I have no idea where this dream is coming from.
I figure it's obviously an anxiety nightmare, which I get a lot, but usually my anxiety dreams are easier to figure out; like when I first started school I had lots of dreams where I went to say hi to friends and they pushed me or shouted at me and said I was disgusting and they didn't want to be friends with me. And whenever I have a job I have plenty of dreams about missing work or getting shouted at by my supervisor, &c. But these are part of two types of totally inexplicable dreams I have, and I don't know what they're related to.
( cut for possible trigger (rape) )
It is interfering with the restfulness of my sleep.
